I’ve had this looping for 30 minutes now. It’s incredible. I honestly have no notes, this is the first piece of major dinosaur video media I’ve ever seen where I have no complaints to make on the part of “accuracy.” All the elements that can be inferred from the fossil data are there, and all the speculations seem both very plausible and just visually spectacular.
Genuinely in awe. Absolutely cannot wait to see this in full 4k. I have no idea how anyone can say the CGI here seems off, just look at that water animation @ 45 seconds in. Immaculate.
For those curious, Various animals I can ID would include *Hatzegopteryx*, *T. rex*, *Triceratops*, *Qianzhousaurus*, *Corythoraptor*, *Deinocheirus*, *Olorotitan*, *Pachyrhinosaurus*, *Nanuqsaurus*, *Carnotaurus,* *Edmontosaurus*, and *Beelzebufo* (the giant frog). The fact that these animals are so clearly *that animal* is so fucking impressive.
There are also many more that I can’t pin to a specific genus or species (because they could be several different things depending on the time & place, or are based on yet unnamed species/non-diagnostic fossils), like the Titanosaurs, other Azhdarchids (besides *Hatzegopteryx*), Nyctosaurids (doesn’t seem to be *Nyctosaurus* itself, possibly *Barbaridactylus*), Elasmosaurids (long-necked swimmy boi), some kind of Mososaurs (lizard-whale), tiny Rhabdodontids (ones on the moss), and a presumably Asian Tyrannosaur (probably *Tarbosaurus*, maybe *Zhuchengtyrannus*) and a Dromeosaur that’s probably *Velociraptor*. The shot at 1:34 may be Asia, and the animals might be *Barsboldia*, *Nemegtosaurus*, *Mononykus*/*Nemegtonykus*.
Holy moly , this is something I’ve been waiting for since Walking with Dinosaurs 1999.
I was slightly interested in seeing the upcoming Jurassic Park since they seem to have added feathered dinosaurs, although they were obviously a bit monstrous , and their animations and behaviors look too exaggerated for a real animal.
But this, this just blows JP out of the water in comparison.
Can’t wait for this. The mere thought of pterosaurs roaming our skies at one point in time blows my mind completely. I recall my mind flattening the first time I learned of them, and the shock still hasn’t subsided decades later. Kinda feel the same about all those extinct sea monsters as well.
Can CGI be “too good” and lose the realism effect? I feel like I am seeing that with these animals. They put so much effort into adding shadows to every single hair follicle and a glisten of light to every sqaure inch of their skin that it ends up looking like “amazing CGI” and not what they would actually look like in real life
I’ve never liked documentaries like this. While I do find real documentaries about the prehistoric age interesting, these of “live” dinosaurs just come off as silly.

God this looks so damn good good. Can’t wait to watch.
My inner child has been reawakened

Netflix: take notes.
Aw man, I’m gonna pre-game by rereading Robert Bakker’s *Raptor Red* and then watch the shit outta this.
Little blue arms @1:25 is gonna be a reaction gif
Did that pterosaur have fucking *antlers*?
This looks incredible!
Damnit Apple TV fine! Take my money!
edit: y’all not watch the same trailer I just watched? This looks bomb!

Seeing a lot of Apple TV+ in this sub recently… something is afoot
I’m definitely making a note to torrent this.
This looks absolutely incredible.
For someone who had a Walking with Dinosaurs VHS tape on replay as a kid, seeing paleomedia of this calibre really takes me back.
Here’s hoping this series will pave the way for more paleomedia that displays prehistoric life in an accurate, respectful and engaging way.
It’s going to be devastating when David attenborough dies, he’s such a treasure
Holy shit

Looks great, I’m excited.
This looks absolutely incredible, but if David doesn’t say “Welcome, to the Jurassic Period” at some point it will all be for naught.
Damn Jurassic Park squeal looking pretty good!
How much of this is just made up to make it interesting?
This looks amazing

This is so incredibly beautiful. I just can’t overstate how great this looks.
I don’t think there ever was high budget dinosaur doc so this is awesome to see. CGI is extremely good for this type of show
David Attenborough narrating a documentary about dinosaurs is oddly poetic considering his brother was John Hammond.
