Looks good. BTW is there any information if and when HBO is going to produce/stream their series in 4K? It’s a bit weird that their movies are 4K DV while all series are in HD only.
I’m here for a Simon Cinematic Universe, where the corrupt Baltimore police officers and politicians from The Wire and We Own This City team up with the corrupt New Orleans housing officials from Treme for the ultimate corrupt bureaucratic boondoggle
Lmao I love that he has a perfect fade cut, but they tried to make him look disgruntled/dirty by keeping the top of his hair and beard a little unkempt. But the fade is super clean haha
Anyone else recognize Bernthal having the same stupid haircut as the asshole cop in S4/S5 of the Wire? David Simon clearly knew someone on the beat like this lol.
The stick flipping in this trailer is an [Espantoon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Espantoon), a uniquely Baltimore nightstick. It has a…*controversial* history in Baltimore policing. It is characterized by it’s long tether allowing for easy swinging, twirling, and flipping. It got banned in ’94 by the Chief of Police Thomas Frazier, who thought that long a piece of hard wood being swung around like a Prequel lightsaber was inherently intimidating to the civilian population. It was then softly reinstated in 2000 by new chief Edward Norris in order to boost police morale. Cops could, but were not required to, use it. Norris said “When I found out what they meant to the rank and file, I said, ‘Bring them back.’ … It is a tremendous part of the history of this Police Department.”
This looks great, really looking forward to this one! r/WeOwnThisCity will have subreddit discussion.
As a huge fan of The Wire, I cannot wait for this.
The image at the top lead me to believe that this may be a Simple Jack spin-off
This story is just insane.
I am stoked for this!
I have season tickets to Jon Bernthal. I’m so friggin’ in.
Is this the long awaited sequel to Starship’s “We Built This City”?
It’s like Training Day, but a TV series. neat
Seeing all these familiar faces is making me giddy ngl. This is my *No Way Home*.
You had me at “From the Producers of The Wire and The Deuce.”
It’s Baltimore, gentlemen, the gods will not save you.
Seeing so many Wire alumni in a Baltimore-set crime drama but in different roles is doing weird stuff to my brain.
“I’m not a dirty cop.”
He’s a dirty cop.

I saw him in Walking Dead a few years and couldn’t stand his acting. But he is in everything right now and crushing it. I was so wrong about him.
Looks like the closest thing to a sequel to The Wire we’re going to get.
I can’t wait to watch it, I also loved seeing other actors from the show as well.
HBO can’t miss, finally watched Tokyo Vice last night and it was incredible.
Ah man, My brew! My shoes!
Crime show + Jon Bernthal = HELL YES – no questions asked
He plays such a good shitty, hostile person. Really looking forward to this
Jon Bernthal, already sold. =)
“*We Own This City* on H-B-OOOOO….”
Damn, looks like The Wire meets The Shield, with Jon Bernthal as Vic Mackey 🤯
I’m in! Bernthal doesn’t miss!
Is this the dude who plays the engineer/explosive expert in the Disney movie Atlantis? Looks identical to the character
A gritty Baltimore cop thriller by the producers of The Wire? Fuck yes.
Lmao I love that he has a perfect fade cut, but they tried to make him look disgruntled/dirty by keeping the top of his hair and beard a little unkempt. But the fade is super clean haha
Did fat ass, porn addict Sgt. Jay get promoted all the way up to Commissioner?

Bernthal doing Dundalk Ralph is great bit.
