I don’t know if this is a remake, technically, but it seems to be the same story as a great 1950s film called The Man Who Never Was. Of course it’s an incredible true story. If they do it well it should be really interesting.
I feel like this story is one that works well as a did you know forum post or a 5 minute educational short video, but is going to be annoying to see turned into a full length movie, especially one that seems focused on the plotting rather than the Spanish and Germans taking the bait. Showing off Winston Churchill so heavily in the trailer just seems to reinforce that to me.
Watched it at an early screening yesterday. Overall enjoyed it but it did start to drag a bit towards the back half, and there was a romance sub plot that I thought was a bit unnecessary, but seeing as it’s based on a true story perhaps they felt obligated to stick to it
That looks great!
I thought this was gonna be a movie about a pie.
Is Colin Firth contractually obligated to be in every British WWII Biopic?

I’m seeing double! Four Mr. Darcys!
[Here’s the Wiki article on the actual operation.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mincemeat) It’s absolutely amazing what they pulled off and I can’t wait for this movie.
