The author mentions early on he doesn’t understand why the concept art had weird “Mickey Mouse ears” on the corners. Bruh. It doesn’t. The sides are flat, and the front has an indented area.
I’m pretty astounded that after putting in all this work, and looking at that image so many times, he was completely blind to the basic shape of the thing he was building.
Not really. The entire top of the device was left out. The video maker just didn’t want to make it like the image so he made up a different version and brought that to life.
I think it’s amazing that such a small piece of the Wii motherboard is all that’s needed for a functioning Wii.
This guy’s voice reminds me so much of Dave from the G4TV show Portal. Is it just me?

If the optical drive is non existent, isn’t this really just an emulator? Couldn’t this have been done cheaper/easier using a raspberry pi?
