This looks like a Japanese game
I rented this game so many times from Blockbuster
[This](https://youtu.be/Waey9gfO9lM?si=2KMH-WuYTKoXqfk9) was the Yoshi 3d model that Argonaut Games used for that Yoshi demo
I was a child in the 90s but I remember this having really frustrating platforming. As an adult it’s probably really easy though
they also stole code from the prototype for SM64
This is also what “inspired” Nintendo to make Mario 64, or rather, how to make it.
This was one of my favorite games as a kid
One of my first real 3d games on pc =D
Remake is coming next year I believe
I worked on this game as a tester and I didn’t know that. One of the hardest platformers I’ve ever played. Only 2 of the testers (myself and one other) could actually beat the game because of the pixel-perfect jumping required.
I can still hear this little Croc:
Kersplat!
Kerpow!
Eeeyup
Everything about it was so cute!
I think I beat this or the 2nd as a kid, I remember it being tough but I did like it.
Loved this game as a kid, one of the first PS1 games I had
My entire childhood is so engrossed in this game 😭
I’ve heard this story before. That is an interesting bit of gaming history. Croc was a successful game, and a million seller for the Playstation, although it was considered kinda middling next to the likes of Mario, Banjo, Crash, and Spyro. Still a decent second tier mascot platformer along with Gex
Ah my childhood.
Best game ever as a kid!
Handles like an 18 wheeler but I loved this game
The music on this game was so god damn good!
