how cute, his fur reminds me of an oreao ice cream
what a beautiful – and quite rare – coat
Kind of amazed he survived hunting season…
whoa… never saw such a magnificent beast…
That would make a cool coat
Wow !
That’s cool to be able to see something so rare.
Hopefully he’s been spreading those genes around
Yay! Let’s kill it!!
I have a doe like this! First one I’d ever seen.
The key to perfect pelts for the rest of your playthrough.
Imagine if the coat formed “Don’t shoot me”
Did I just see this on TikTok?
We have two in my neighborhood, mama and youngster. Almost all white with brown ears and a brown spot or two.
Wrong. It’s a milk cow-deer hybrid.
I too saw one of these in Oregon; Mountaindale to be exact
Mmmm venison bacon
FYI to all you folks going on about how beautiful it is, this mutation also carries a high incidence of skeletal deformities and other damaging birth defects. These animals should be culled to maintain the health of the local free population. Ugly but true .
That’s more than a deer. It’s a Grace Kelly movie.
Is it bad my first thought was “I wonder how it tastes”?
all of the other buck deer
used to laugh and call him names
they never let Liberace
join in any buck deer games
Amazing. Not to get overly pedantic, but I love etymology – this is actually skewbald, which is white and another color, where piebald is white and black specifically. Bald here is the same as in bald eagle – it means white, or a white patch.
Saw one of these in a field in Pennsylvania a few months back while driving for work.
I thought it was a rock at first, then I realized what it was when it started moving. Only time I ever saw one like that. Didn’t know they had a name until this post. Cool that you got a pic!
Mooooo
Bummer of a birthmark, Hal.
I’ve a nephew in Oregon. They had a piebald buck in their yard last year. He called it Pablo lol. When I saw it, I said “oh it’s a piebald buck!” “No!” He countered, “it’s a Pablo buck!” Lol
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😳😳🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Buck deer. Great analysis
I bet he’d be good with some biscuits and gravy
Is this near hebo?
That sure does have an American Heart.
Port Angeles Washington has a piebald strain in the deer population that lives in town. About every two or three years a new one will pop up.
Sad part is that particular “herd” is getting a bit inbred. The does are getting smaller and smaller, and their legs look odd. That or it’s a nutrient deficiency.
They don’t get harvested and the only predators are soccer moms who can’t peel their phones off their faces and the occasional large cat.
Just curious…you around Pete’s mountain?
