Damn, you probably live in a tough ass neighborhood… /s
Put a Santa hat on the skeleton, problem solved.
Buy another one! Buy another one!
For the love of God, why’d they start the letter from the backside?
Christian here. I assume this is in the US/Canada. You can clap back with something regarding personal freedom to express Christian symbolism your own way.
Some ideas:
* Ezekiel and dry bones
* Representing the sacrifice that Jesus would eventually make on the cross (watch out for the resurrected body was no longer there rebuttal though)
* Representing death that Jesus would eventually conquer (extra funny if you replace the skeleton with a body on Christmas Day)
* Remembering those who were martyred for the faith
* Put up two, and add an extra set of ribs to one of them (Adam and Eve, according to some literalists)
I hope you get to meet some Christians who actually care about what Jesus cared about. Sorry about our trashy cousins, we’re trying to get them in line but it’s a hard job.
I want to acknowledge that you watermarked this image.
“On behave of ________ community…”
Goddamned uneducated twat.
I would love to see a pic of that skeleton scenery
I absolutely adore when people dress up their giant skeletons for different seasons/holidays!
I passed by this particular house with multiple giant skeletons (about 10 feet tall) in their front yard. During Christmas, they dressed them up in Santa’s hats and decorated Christmas lights and ornaments around the skeletons. People are getting very creative.
So, *he*’s afraid of it and is trying to act like “everybody” agrees.
They had plenty of room for the “ned” at the end of the first line..
Yeah, the undead are far more appropriate around Easter
I am literally dead. This letter is so amazing from srart to finish. I would literally buy a full page ad just to publish it. I love this letter so much.
Two words my friend, “Skeleton nativity”.
A lot of very intelligent people have been calling me to say that the amount of skeletons on lawns in December is out of control and America’s enemies are laughing at us.
“Offensive towards Jesus’ birth on Christmas”
According to many scholars, Jesus was estimated to be born around the end of September, start of October, not at Christmas. So, the skeleton is just perfect.
Am I the only one that wants a pic of this horribly offensive skeleton???
I mean Tim Burton would disagree.
It must be a Festivus skeleton since it caused an airing of grievances!
Sounds like they’re asking you to put a hat and a few lights on it, that way it’s a holiday skeleton.
In a subdivision near me there was one of the 12 foot ones up for halloween and it’s now covered in wreaths and a santa hat. About a week after those new decorations went up, another giant santa-skelly went up a few doors down.. I can only hope the HOA said something and the second house joined in solidarity against them.
We love driving by the xmas skeletons!
I love to see bones during xmas
Our neighbor has one of those giant skeletons, after Halloween he just popped a giant Santa hat on and boom, it’s a Christmas decoration. I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas decorations, but to each their own. I don’t find it as awful as those ugly (to me) blow up things that look all deflated and sad during the day, but again, to each their own, wouldn’t dream of writing a nasty note about any of it.
Keep it up you say? Decorate for every holiday even?
“No one wants to see bones on Christmas”. That not what Mrs. Claus says…
It’s always “many people” or “a lot of people” or “several people” but never an actual number. These crybabies in life are always inventing a mass of people to support their individual opinion.
Just pretend you also received a letter saying “many people” love your skeleton and hope it stays up year round.
Anytime someone says they speak for everyone, you can be pretty sure they don’t.
I’m a Churchy McChurchgoer and my 12’ Skelton is putting lights on a big tree we have in the front yard.
They lost me as soon as I saw how they split “complained” into the next line
Who splits a word in an off-syllable place???
Complai
Ned.
LOL!
On the first day of Christmas,
My neighbor gave to me
A note I won’t take seriously
“Hello,
Many people have complained about the lighted, dead tree outside your house and feel it is a gaudy display of commercialism to drive by every day to school and work. Last year your dead tree was very distracting and ostentatious for the children and, for the adults, it’s a very offensive towards Jesus who was nailed to a tree for our sins, not so you could get Legos on sale a Kohl’s.
It is an embarrassment to the community and not only perceived as trashy, but is, in fact, trashy. If you do not understand the true message of Christmas (which is clear from your ‘neighborly’ letter) then please do not decorate at all. On behave [sic] of our community please TAKE IT DOWN. It is not respectful either, bitch.
Sign, The real people of [community].
— And also I wouldn’t show you my bone at Christmas or any other time.”
Please OP Print this out as large as possible and have the skeleton holding the sign! (With a Santa hat on it you like)
PM me and I’m happy to spend up to $200 dollars to print the card and see a pic of this
As an English teacher I am compelled to point out, BEHALF and BEHAVE are VERY DIFFERENT WORDS. lol.
BEHALF- representing someone or a group
BEHAVE- to act a certain way.
🤦🏻♂️

If I’m being honest the gigantic skeletons and other large decorations annoy me, especially when they’re left up all year. But, like a normal person I realize it’s their property and they can do what they want.
