When I visited downtown Detroit I was pleasantly surprised. I expected it to look like the alternate 1985 Hill Valley in Back to the Future II, but it was clean and a nice place to walk around.

Go Detroit! I always root for this city. I’m a Red Wings fan and don’t live or have been to Detroit, just grew up watching them, but for some reason I always look for positive things about Detroit. It’s so weird of me 😂
Detroit gets a bad rap but it’s one of my favorite cities to visit. Especially this time of year.
Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving parade and Lions football is an awesome holiday to celebrate in downtown Detroit. That loss hurt last week tho.

I’ve never been there but I’ve heard the city has had a glow up in the past decade. It’s gotten much safer while remaining an affordable place to live!
I’ll be there the weekend of January 12th. Going to Sarnia to watch my OHL team the Sudbury Wolves take on the Sarnia Sting. Staying the night just outside Detroit. Then, catching the Sudbury Wolves against the Windsor Spitfires on the Saturday. Looking to spend the day Saturday in Detroit. I know for sure we’re going to Campus Martius but after that, I dunno. Some shopping and definitely trying out Detroit-style pizza and maybe something from the fast-food resto’s that we don’t have in Canada.
Pretty excited! I know the Wings are playing the saturday night at Little Ceasars but I’m trying to work on my bucketlist of seeing the Wolves play in every OHL arena.
Don’t let people know that the D is actually a really nice place. Downtown is already crowded during games and shows…

Just went for a work trip and we went to a Red Wings game and had dinner nearby. Cool little downtown area, was surprised that all 3 sports stadiums were in such close proximity

I went to Detroit for the first time last year. The downtown area wasn’t that bad. I went for Mom’s Spaghetti, then crossed over into Canada

I was just down there last Friday. My mom and I got spiked cider at the winter market.
