I got that on PC when my parents bought me a cheap toshiba laptop. Neither game would run on it lol. I got the chance to play it when I upgraded to an asus laptop with a nvidia 550 in it and got to enjoy them.
What a baffling combination of games to package together. Completely different publishers and genres. Both great, of course, but I’m curious how this came to be.
Just gotta be careful booting up Oblivion after playing Bioshock. All of Oblivions brightness and bloom probably goes off like a flashbang after Bioshocks dark and depressing gameplay.
I love the Bioshock series so much. Love those games to the ends of the earth. Funny how I’ve never had a desire to play any Elder Scrolls games. Not sure why; I know people love them; but the aesthetics and story just look very uninteresting to me. To each their own.
Got this on PC way back in the day. First exposure to Elder Scrolls and BioShock. I remember being absolutely blown away by BioShock. And with oblivion I discovered missing, gave myself a Balrog spell to decimate my enemies.
And here I am, all these years later, still playing both of these games.
I’m one of the few that absolutely could not stand Oblivion.
The leveling system in enemy scaling was completely jacked up. Any game where you can level “incorrectly” is just not fun. I went into that game completely blind, and just picked the thief class. The mobs were one shotting me at level 8, and meanwhile it took about 20 arrows just to kill a goblin
Then I had to look up how to properly level by setting BS skills as your majors so you can control how you level. It was just overcomplicated for no good reason. Everything else in the game was cool, but that leveling system was garbage.
I was a fan of the Forza2/ Marvel Ultimate Alliance box. Got it for the same price as Forza 2 because GameStop had no way to price it differently at the time.
I still have this bundle, which I found for nothing some years ago. I have to start Bioshock again cause, as usual, I got stuck somehow, in the first half of the game. I barely touched Oblivion but hey I couldn’t even go too far in Skyrim. So many games, so little time.
One of the best games of all time.
And oblivion
Hundreds of hours of entertainment in that little box.
It’s good, it’s no Orange Box.
Orange box from valve was another fun time. Played so much half life and some TF2.

Great games.
That’s so funny I didn’t know this combo packed existed but I bought both these games on 360 on the same night when I was a kid

Send aid to bruma!!!!
Wow this is peak gaming

That was an odd combo. Is it because both were under 2K ?
This looks like those packs of cereal that contains multiple little packs of cereal.
Pissed me off when I found mine packed away. Went to install Bioshock, and the install server is no more. Grr. Had to find a cracked installer for it.
It’s a CIRCUS of VALUE!
Orange box 2.0
Never seen this before, was it on one disk?
In 2023, a combo of this quality would be $90 minimum
Back when devs actually put effort into their games and there wasn’t a corporate shill or micro transaction around every corner.
Would you kindly… Stop right there criminal scum

Dude… how did I forget these games came out a year apart? For some reason in my head these games were in like completely different generations, lol.
This box was the best value of all time lmao
Lol
Pure dopamine!
I’ll take ‘good things we will never see again’ for 400$, Alex.

Maan I loved oblivion so bad, it was, a, really cool game
This is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!
Fuck. Yes. Lol

And it’s award winning
Do you guys think physical media will still exist next console gen?
G(old).
I remember when they made games to be fun and not to milk you for every dime.
I bought Fallout 3, Assassin’s Creed, and The Orange Box all in one trip to Gamestop.

You sure? SMB/Duck Hunt was my jam.
Memory unlocked. God do I miss the xbox 360 times
With Bioshock winning all 80…
Wow, I never thought a compilation could give the Orange Box a run for its money but that is a ridiculously strong combo for the era.
I just got the Bioshock collection looking forward to playing for the first time

I neved player Bioshock. I have the Bioshock 1 and 2 remastered editions in my library. Should I give them a try?
There goes your social life 🤣
