I’d say the jokes in this bit hit their marks. If this was an SNL skit a lot of people would be more positive. Sure it seems like he’s diminishing Stone a little, but it’s clearly staged and she’s in on it. Notice how he makes Kimmel read the first part of the review to subtly lift Stone up.
This is a bit that went on way too long for how subtle the joke was. I went from laughing to checking to see how much time was left and saying, “Oh hell no.”
One of the funniest late night interviews I’ve seen in a long time. When Kimmel tells him he can’t smoke and Fielder is just like “you’re killing me man….”. Lmao so good.
Why is Nathan saying his previous appearances on Jimmy Kimmel were an act? He told that completely true anecdote about the large coat that verifiably happened.
I hope Nathan Fielder acts better in the show than he did in that starting clip. Atrociously overacted. And this interview was unfunny and painful. He shows up in a dumb outfit and its just 15 minutes of this?
JFC the internet fucking sucks now. Can’t watch the video because I searched for it via DuckDuckGo. Then it turns out the video was taken down. These MFs are really gonna make me pirate the entire episode by being tight-wads about it. Great job.
I will say, though, it is tough watching him act on that new show. Character or not, it’s not awkward in a funny or engaging way like Nathan for You/ The Rehearsal. Where him being dry and deadpan, and seemingly void of any personality or understanding of other human beings is part of the joke.
The only time i believe I’ve ever seen Nathan be sincere was when the psycho lady in the rehearsal was telling him she didn’t approve of the kid playing doctor fart. He seems genuinely frustrated and incredulous at her. Otherwise I feel like he is always in complete control. Just incredible.
Also I think about doctor fart almost every day and laugh.
I’m glad to see this being shared as I’ve been obsessed with telling people about it
There was for sure a rock bottom during th3 interview (to the point where even I couldn’t handle the cringe of those phone calls) but but the bit itself really worked and is an instant classic
He manages to be funny while also addressing the elephant in the room. That he’s only ever “acted” in reality shows of his own design so now he’s *acting* acting. Also his directing and anti chemistry with Emma really stand out on the new show.
The Safdie bros toss this weird uncut gems dust over it too. Going from Bennie in Oppenheimer to the Curse made my head spin lol
His so cool in real life.
This is the best video to watch while having an afternoon banana.
The curse was awful.

Such a chill guy

Andy Kaufman shit
Commenting to watch laterrrr
This isn’t funny. This generation is so lame.
That is a look. Kind of got an Italian style to it. Almost like a cardinal in the Catholic church except the coat is woolly.
Kendall Roy
so he put on a “strange” outfit and acted as an aloof and deliberately rude character
how original…
Edit: sorry for having a different opinion on a reddit darling 🙂
This is genuinely one of the most hilarious late night interviews I’ve ever seen.
I’m not sure how it would go, but Nathan Fielder hosting the Oscars would be an incredible idea…
Crazy this was never posted last week when it happened.
My favorite part is when he steps on Emma’s foot and she gets mad. Haha
Emma was so good playing into it. “This is the Nathan I met, so…”

The only bad thing in this video is Jimmy Kimmel, I swear I would have loved this if it was with Conan instead.
The editing is also so bad… I just don’t get how people watch this
I get it but this type of comedy just doesn’t work for me.

You know, this guy really reminds me of a looser version of the wizard of loneliness.
I remember when Joaquin Phoenix did this exact same thing…
“In real life I’m very relaxed” **The most uptight, tense fixation of his sunglasses** That was a great part lol
He was hilarious as the Red Bull limo driver in, ‘The Night Before’.
Man, Emma is a smokeshow, and she looks fucking great in this show too with the “natural”/minimalist makeup and crimpy hair.
Everyone should check out when Nathan had a backup guest on Conan. Incredible stuff

Funny. But kimmels terrible acting makes his parts annoying.

The Curse for his scenes is just a tough watch.

You know what I feel like after watching this clip? A mother effin beer
