Al’s a good shot
But what about Benny?
Carlito’s Way >> Scarface for me personally, Jeff
I am a simple man. When I see a clip of a Brian De Palma scene in a train station, I upvote.
Is this the same train station as in “The Untouchables” minus the escalators?
Storm troopers couldn’t hit shit.
his coat on that escalator gave me anxiety. Great accident waiting to happen
Hermione… I can fix her
Whew!!! What a scene.
This was so lame lol
I worked on that scene as a PA. I got to say ‘action’ to Pacino.
Holy shit. I didn’t even realize this was a Brian De Palma movie when I first started watching but EVERYTHING from the camera movements to the blocking to the music to the scene’s resolution was absolutely PERFECT Brian De Palma. Never watched this film before, but I’m definitely seeking this out now.
Smells like Saso, used to be Ron
Damn you, Benny Blanco from the Bronx!
Terrific movie. It’s like if Scarface went to jail instead of dying and came out wiser and bitter. Pacino is amazing in this.
Just watched the documentary De Palma last night. He talks about this scene. Great doc if you’re into Brian De Palma movies. He’s very frank in it and tells some hilarious stories about making his movies.
Decades later, I still always remember to look out for Benny Blancos.
Those camera angles/shots and background score have that DePalma signature (e.g. see similar train station shootout scene in The Untouchables).
The way those guys couldn’t find him remind me of every video game where the npc ai sucks.
That’s Saso, used to be Ron
That was almost just one shot. Insane and seem less with none of the digital crutches they use now. Such skill from DP and actors.
This film does not get the credit it should get at how ABSOLUTELY FUCKING EPIC AND AMAZING IT IS. Holy shit, it is good.
