The historic Redford Theater in Northwest Detroit. Built in 1928, the theater is historically preserved and still screens films. They are also one of two theaters with their original pipe organs after the Motor City Theater Organ Society refurbished it. Without a doubt my favorite place in the world

I visit every year when they have the Three Stooges film festival.
I grew up just a few blocks north of there in the late 60’s & early 70’s and used to walk by it everyday on my way to Redford HS (which is gone now). The area got pretty run down by the time I moved away in the 80’s and I’m glad to hear it has made a comeback. My Dad and I went to a traditional Italian barbershop next door to the theater, I wonder if it’s still there.
