It got so much undeserved hate because of memes in my opinion. (tv photo because hdr looks great)
I don’t want to hype it up too much but realistically there is nothing I can do to combat memes. Story is not the strongest side of the game but it’s engaging. And as for characters? Totally overblown. I like Frey and she really grows on you.
The game received a great patch in may that fixed ambient occlusion and made it run stable 40fps in 120hz Quality mode. HDR is also a highlight here.
The first hour might be a bit slow but the game picks up. You unlock new powers which change how you play the game. The combo system is very engaging and combat can be pretty involving which is good.
And yeah. If you are a cat person- you must play this. Trust me!

The hate didn’t come from memes though.
I was hyped for this game when they announced it and every trailer made me more excited. And then the demo came out and it just didn’t hook me like I wanted it to.

Yet Another Third Person Open World Action game with RPG elements is the last thing I want to play.
Charming ? I’m sorry, but i gave it a try and was more annoyed than anything else. The constant annoying banter between the protagonist and her magical bracelets made me want to play the game on mute.
Also, the world is barren and lifeless, there’s nothing to do in it besides fighting enemies and finding some collectibles. The cities are very bland and are nothing in comparison to Final Fantasy XV, a game made in the same engine from 2016 that looks far, far better than forspoken.
I really liked this game. I didn’t have any particular issues running it at launch as seems to be a complaint, but it was easily a fun little 7/10 I’d like to replay again at some point. See what the updates did for it.
Best traversal? So… just running and jumping across long stretches of empty landscape is the best?
If you like the game, ok. But I’m confused how you can say it’s the best traversal. Have you played no other open world games?

Agreed. I love the game. It’s better than thay God awful hogwarts everybody try to say is good when it’s boring and repetitive with a dull ass story. I played it cuz I love hp series, but after the 1st few hours of awe of being at hogwarts, it got old fast.
Forspoken has holes in it but it’s a good game. Fun game. I’ve finished it twice already. Pre-ordered ff16 started it, went back to forspoken and still haven’t finished 16 (16 dope tho). Just giving perspective. It’s good game, great to me
