I had this happen twice, so I just stopped doing them. The symbiote nests are also really buggy. I have been rubber banded off the island, on several occasions, at around the 10 second mark.
I tried playing some this weekend now that its been patched like four times, and its still super fucking buggy.
Happened to me as well same exact spot. Symbiote nests can be instantly completed by changing costumes after you start one. All things I learned from just playing the game lol
