❤️
I grew up as a kid in the 80s and love the songs of Starship. I later discovered Jefferson Airplane along with many of their contemporary artists at the time including Janet Joplin. I was totally surprised when I found out later on that they were the same group. Jefferson Airplane was Starship.

I love this pic.
Both amazing singers but Janis touched my heart. So much pain and talent. She lived the Blues.
What an era. Good reminder to make my kids sit down and listen to Bobby McGee and White Rabbit.
Luv the photo. I am very thankful to have been a teenager during those years. You could hear incredible music on your little transistor radio.
And Janice Joplin is 27 forever.
Iconic.
Pearl & The Chrome Nun
You come across these random things out here. Like learning Grace Slick is older than any Beatle, or Rolling Stone. Or any Beach Boy. Or Bob Dylan. Or Paul Anka.
She’s 4 years older than Janis Joplin.
Its really surprising. Grace is almost 30 here.
Grace was sexy, not so much now.
I have this picture signed by Grace. It was from a calendar of rock musicians I had. A woman I went to broadcasting school with was interviewing Grace for a magazine article and I gave her this photograph to autograph for me. Apparently when she signed it Grace laughed and said “I look good in this. Janice looks like shit, but I look pretty good.”
To listen to and be moved by the blues, Pearl. To listen to and make that guy noise (pure attraction) Grace doing White Rabbit at Woodstock
Janice ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
think of the music we would be enjoying if Janis lived into her 80’s. Grace is a fox
Great Ladies!🎸
Ms Kelly’s hair is divine
Only the good die young
“People who write books really get Janis wrong. The woman I knew would cackle, she’d laugh so hard, and was fun to be with. Very vocal, very outspoken, very funny. Texas women tend to be like that. They called us fire and ice. I was the ice and she was the fire. But I think she is more of a symbol of those times than I. She had more style. My voice is OK, but she really pushed the envelope.” — Grace Slick
Janis = Overrated. I never thought she was good, not even a good singer. Like the female version of Joe Cocker; but less talent.
Grace has had a bunch of health problems. She looks….different now.
I didn’t have the money to dress like they did but I sure tried!
Wow….Dreamy👌❤️
Grace Slick has some great artwork out there. The Mad Tea Party is a tribute to Alice in wonderland and my fav song by her group, White Rabbit. Short but brilliant.
