After I watched “The Father” I was wondering if it could be more depressing. I know Gasper Noè will make that happen.
The split screen approach to showing an Alzheimer’s movie is very interesting and I’m sure going to be used to devastating effect. I wonder if one of the screens is going to become an unreliable Narrator while the other will show us the depressing reality. Either way, I’m down for Noé to depress the fuck out of me
Saw the U.S. premiere at the New York Film Festival last year. It’s just as fantastic and devastating as Noé’s previous films but it’s also a huge change of pace for him. Never thought I’d live to see the day where Gaspar Noé made a movie that could conceivably get a PG-13 rating.
After spending the last month watching Argento’s entire post 80s output and suffering through his creative decline, I’m ready for this movie to destroy me.
As much as I love his work, I don’t think I’ve got the emotional reserves to endure this, especially having had multiple family members dealing with this horrible affliction. It looks really good though.

Looking forward to another lighthearted romp from Gaspar.
It’s not shown the way it is in the trailer is it, with the weird aspect and framing?
This looks like the least horny Gaspar Noe film.
Who else wants Gaspar Noé’s next film to be a screwball comedy?
Does some girl’s ass gets pounded in the tunnel?

Is this style of directing ever been done in a movie, two simultaneous shots ?
For those wondering, the song is “Mon amie la rose” by Françoise Hardy.
Yes, Gaspar, we’ve all been listening to Everywhere At The End of Time during lockdown as well.
Seems uplifting.

Seriously **what is with** all the fucking movies about people with Alzheimer’s lately?
There’s this, the Anthony Hopkins movie, Supernova, Remember Me and a bunch others in 2019 and of I Care A Lot.
