My kids would have been thrilled, we watched Home Alone with them last year and they are excited to watch it again as we get closer to Christmas.
Kevin you’ve got our vote
My kids are obsessed with this movie and watch it every other day starting in November.

I mean, if you were in first grade in the 1997 this would have been roughly analogous to dressing as a film character from 1964.

Sooo… Ann Margaret in Viva Las Vegas, clearly.
I wouldn’t have known either but I saw this in theater
ngl it would be hard to tell. But with the reference picture to the side, it looks damn good.
I’m sorry, but my first thought went to Zohan
I’ve watched the movie countless times like the rest of you, but I don’t remember this look where he poses with hair dryers. Is this from some sort of behind the scenes promotional photo on the back of the VHS box or something?
I feel like I vaguely remember him doing something with hair dryers in some throw-away 3-second scene, but surely it wasn’t one of the iconic moments from the movie, was it?
Did Kevin even use hair dryers in the movie?
i wouldnt have known either and i watched that movie probably 150 times and grew up with it.
Lowley thought it was Zohan, definitely the hair dryers throwing it off, maybe a different accessory or some other more common reference would help
Why would they know? Like, really.
Your foyer just called me poor
For starters, the red hair dryer belongs in his other hand and he has no BB gun! Come on… Show some creativity! Worst costume evar!!! /s (it’s really clever)
I wouldnt know it and I have seen the film several times
I still feel myself as a kid cuz this movie is so close to my heart

Fan of the movie and I wouldn’t have recognized the character with the hair dryers being wielded either.
It’s very close and good, but I don’t think I would have known without the side-by-side either.
Happy Halloween, ya filthy animal.
That’s because not every image is iconic. Kevin from Home Alone just looks like a kid, and when people think back to that movie they think more about the close ups of his face where he’s yelling or narrating.
It’s the same reason the people never get The Office costumes if it isn’t Dwight, they just look like normal people.
yeah no shit, it’s a 30 year old movie
Expecting 6 year olds to connect the costume to a 30 year old movie is a lot.
I’ve seen Home Alone and I wouldn’t have recognized him; sorry.
Sad, I went as Marty McFly when I was nine and nobody knew me either, I feel you, buddy
Even the teachers?!
Two large issues that could be why
First, the scene he’s dressed up as isn’t in the movie so it’s not really that iconic to a number of people
Second, Kevin is an extremely generic looking character, he wears normal clothes and has no recognizable features aside from the actors face and hair – and your kids face and hair are different from his (which is normal, most people don’t have identical faces)
