I still havent recovered from learning about all the atrocities in The West
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
Incredible film, very highly recommended to anyone even remotely interested in this stuff.
Finished this over the weekend. I really enjoyed it. Burns essentially uses the story of the buffalo as a conduit for exploring the broader story of Native America. Tackling the entire colonist/Native American relationship would be a MASSIVE undertaking, but grounding it in this specific context provided a unique lens for understanding (or at least, beginning to build understanding).
Also Peter Coyote’s narration is top-tier. I could probably listen to him read the dictionary and stay enthralled the whole time.
Fuuuukkk, that masterpiece making bastard is about to get 10 more uninterrupted hours of my life.
Graphic makes it look like it’s about the digestive system of the buffalo.

Um. They’re bison, quite different from buffalo. But, you know, American education…
Does Ted Nugent get to play on the soundtrack?
This doc was heartbreaking
I thought this was the next human centipede or something…
Why Buffalo and not Bison in the title?
He’s a great director but history tells me it’s going to be a downer of a flick.
