I’ve picked up five different Nintendo Entertainment Systems at yard sales and swap meets over the years, and as you might expect, they all have varying degrees of flakiness. I had no success with cheapo modern replacement cartridge connectors, so I’ve ordered five refurbished OEM 72-pin connectors from a vendor on eBay.
I’m also excited to finally try my hand at restoring the cases back to their original gray (aka “Retr0brighting”), at least for the ones that are showing significant yellowing.
Cross your fingers for me!
