Saw 2/3rds of this last night (had to run out early to see **Saltburn**). Really well-made, amazing performances from Cooper and Mulligan. Some truly impressive editing and scene transitions. Great score (obviously). I’m just not a huge fan of going back and forth from color to black & white though. Don’t like when movies do that. It looked gorgeous in color (like a Paul Thomas Anderson movie), I think they should’ve stuck with that. Cooper should get both a directing and acting Oscar nomination.
The music in the trailer is a (slightly weirdly chopped-up) version of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, and it looks like they’re recreating his performance of it in Ely Cathedral, which [you can watch on Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MNXqXXfMoM)! The finale of Mahler 2 might be the best ending to any piece of music ever and Bernstein physically throws himself into conducting it.
“You know, Leonard Bernstein was one of the great composers and conductors of the 20th century, but sometimes he would be gay. And according to a biopic I saw of him, when he was holding back the gay part, he did some of his best work.”
I’m looking forward to this. My conducting professor in college was taught by Lenny. Will be interesting to see if any of the stories I’ve heard about him are in the movie.
This is a great trailer but I still can’t get over Cooper wearing a fake nose to look more Jewish when Bernstein doesn’t even have a big nose
Biggest thing from this trailer is how the hell Bradley is a NOMINEE. He should have won multiple times. The Academy is a joke

Gonna finish it on Netflix when it comes out.
Jordan Peterson documentary? Ohh yes 🙌🏼
It’s just so Oscar bait-y to me.
So his friends do call him Lenny.
Now THAT’S how you make a frigging trailer. Bravo.
bob *cobb*?
Oscar bait:the movie. Starring: prosthetic nose
Will BC finally get an Oscar for this one? Seems likely.
Pls have west side story included
Out of the loop – why is everyone complaining about the nose?
Nose out of ten
Hopefully B Coop finally gets an Oscar. Dude has been robbed so many times
I still think of Cooper as this upcoming kid from Globe Trekker and that “Inside the Actors Studio” clip.
Carey Mulligan is never bad.
Post credits scene of Tar walking out of the shadows and asking Leonard if he’s heard of the Conducters Initiative.
I think he dropped his pocket
Bob Cobb
Now THAT’S how you make a trailer.
I want a Jerry Goldsmith movie.
Ugly ass b w lol

If you’re wondering that music was the closing section of Mahlers second symphony. The text is:
Arise, yes, you will arise from the dead,
My heart, in an instant!
What you have conquered
Will bear you to God.

Bradley Cooper doing everything right now gahdamn
Music is the finale of Gustav Mahler’s [*Resurrection* symphony (no. 2)](https://youtu.be/2D9DfuF-Hf4?si=ysMiqL1ldeClVXcj)
Their eyes are the same.
I think Connor O’Malley should have played the lead.
