Without context it’s hard to know why the word “nuts” made the others sad. I’m a teacher but school rules for behavior are either way too lenient or way too strict.
Last week my niece (under 10) was playing on a rope swing and singing the refrain to that song about coming in like a wrecking ball. She said she had never seen the music video. Kids pick up the funniest things from their environment that horrify adults.
Can I say I’m more annoyed the teacher misspelled appropriate the first time than the child using that phrase. I mean if these are the people teaching our children…
Dad the night before after Arnie telling him about letter tile day: “So, Arnie, tomorrow, when the second ‘D’ comes up, ok? That’s two D’s, okay, got it? Next thing you do, you listening to me, Arnie?? The next thing you do, you yell out…”
I took my kid and his friend bowling and while I was getting snacks, they added their names to the electronic score sheet. If the name is too long, it cuts off the overflow letters. I asked who was “fat bi…” ready to cancel the whole game when the friend turns to my son and says, ” you’re not allowed to say ‘fat biggest bowling ball’?”
Didn’t think I would find behavior and emotional recognition tools for my kid on /r/funny but here we are. Yoinking this pic to shop out the answers and print a few to use at home.
Pretty good handwriting for a second grader. Not to mention spells.
As they should
Parent signature “Desmond Gnutts”
Next time please use appropriate language and say “These nuts”.

Someone’s home life must have interesting language
C’mon, there’s way worse/older memes to get sad about.
If my kid got one of these, I would sign it “Got ’em”.
Somewhere in America a dad is in trouble with his wife.
So if the behavior made others feel happy or excited, what would the rest of the letter look like?
It’s not apropriate, so be appropriate. -G2 Teacher
Were they sad, though, teacher? *Were they?*
Parent: I’m sorry mam, he has been diagnosed with ligma disease.
The word “angry” is shockingly illegible here. It took me several tries to figure out what it said.
Hey teacher, something came in the mail for you…

As a parent I’d sign it ‘deez nutz’ and send the paper right on back.
Gottem

I’ll take, Not written by a 2nd grader for $1000, Alex.
I hate fake things like this.. I’m sure a 2nd grader uses the term “appropriate” in their homework responses
Second grade teachers using this form are unhinged. As if!
No, those second graders weren’t sad, they were laughing their fool little heads off.
Wait until he learns bofa.

Mike D, at it again

Whew.
Just wait til he’s talking to his imaginary friend, Ligma.
Maybe he is just into politics? Gotta let him rep his views.
Should’ve circled excited instead
