Need more movies like this where the focus is on media-perpetuated bullshit stereotypes and the reality behind them. Goddamn we need more movies like these.
This won the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, so it’s almost a shoe-in to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
Sadly, it accurately curates the totally oblivious nature of the WWP (woke white peoples)…. How many of the “hip-pity hop and other culturally aligned” Billionaires aren’t, in their private lives, the person that they portray in the spotlight…
in private, in my experience, they’re just a normal guy….IMHO
At the beginning of the trailer I suddenly thought, “This reminds me of a novel I read a long time ago.” And when he wrote “My Pafology” I realized it was an adaptation of that same novel. Erasure by Percival Everett.
It’s so strange to suddenly remember in detail a story I read 20 some years ago. It’s so wild what the mind retains.
Honestly I’m surprised it took this long to get an adaptation. It’s a great premise.
I really don’t get the “American” movie franchise. Really liked American Psycho, History X & Made though. They need to do a better job in connecting the stories.
I wonder where people are going to see trailers when they won’t turn off ad blockers for youtube. I bet the movie producers are paying good money to get their trailers seen, but youtube won’t let you watch them unless they can make money off both sides.
This looks really good. I love Jeffrey Wright so I imagine it’s a winner. The only thing that concerns me is it going to punch down on black working class people by assuming they’re all chronically lumpenprole? I get the message is to attack cheap cultural stereotypes but is going to add nuance that both the black upper class and white people can tend to punch down sometimes?
I’m proly overthinking it and it’s going to be an awesome movie.
Looks fun! Excited to see Jeffrey Wright in a leading role
Oh wow, this looks very interesting.
[For anyone wondering about the pen name.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWM82eQKdQk)
I’m in

– a little Life of Brian… a little real life Dave Chapple.

FInally, I’ve been waiting for this movie my whole life, we up lol
“the dumber I behave the richer I get”
Looks like its going a lot further than the source novel, Erasure by Percival Everett

This will either be really good or really cringe. Jeffrey Wright looks great though.
That woman standing up and clapping in front of Wright was all they needed to sell me on the film. Hilarious.
Saw this at TIFF. Cord Jefferson seemed overwhelmed and super grateful by all the love it had gotten. It’s quite funny and balances its themes well.
already sent this trailer to all my friends, lol. can’t wait
Oh wow, this looks fantastic!
I’d watch Jeffrey Wright in most anything.
I love Jeffrey Wright. This film looks great.
Ha! This looks great. Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and Sterling K Brown. And Howard!!

ORION? Where the fuck they been?
Looks funny.
I wonder how many people will go see this and laugh and not realize they a butt of the joke.
>”The dumber I behave, the richer I get…”
Fuck, that’s bleak.
fucking love it. this speaks to me on a lot of different levels
Seth Cohen is going to be in an Oscar-nominated role, Bravo!
You had me at Jeffrey Wright as the lead.
Would have loved to see Don Cheadle in this role.
This is playing at the [Windsor International Film Festival (WIFF)](https://windsorfilmfestival.com/film/ST00002710/) on 10/28 at the [Capitol Pentastar Theatre](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Capitol+Theatre+Windsor/@42.2491586,-83.0636514,12.5z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x883b2d1eea154a53:0xf9e8d39a2d0abc3!8m2!3d42.3169444!4d-83.04!16s%2Fg%2F11cpldttbf?entry=ttu).
This looks like a subtler version of Spike Lee’s Bamboozled… which was great, so I’m down for this as well.
Jeffrey Wright is the shit!
Finally, the Black version of Brian’s gag-book-turned-Bestseller **Wish It. Want It. Do It.**.
Just kidding. This looks like it could be funny –if all the story’s dynamics haven’t been spoiled by the Trailer.
Really great trailer. Feels like every joke landed.
Love Wright so it’ll be great to see him in a more comedic role.

I love Jeffery Wright. He has one of the best voices in Hollywood. Glad to see him doing a more humorous role.
