This and Just Another Day…..nice.
Killer bassline, took me a minute to realize it was the guy playing the strapped keyboard

Now, everyone go watch “Back to School.” You’re welcome.
Just said to my wife last night, “Why are there no bands like Oingo Boingo anymore?”
It’s a shame they never really got the recognition that they deserved. They were a really good band.
Saw them live and it’s an incredible show but I think Danny just has too much talent to be limited to this band. His contribution to the movie industry is probably his legacy. KROQ parties were never the same without them.
Danny Elfman man, super talented guy. I can hear echos of The Simpsons theme song in this
Danny Elfman kinda looks like Jack Skellington

This song is in most of my random rock Playlist and it surprises me how many people don’t know it. Might just be my demographic.
This song always makes me think of Ready Player One (the book). It’s what plays during James Halliday’s contest announcement after he dies.
God this is such a banger
I had no idea Eugene Levy played Keytar for Oingo Boingo.
Avila and the Keytar. Peak 80’s
Good Olde Jack the Pumpkin King
I completely forgot about the over the shoulder keyboard until just now.
to just walk out on stage and rip that as your opener is like greeting the 3 headed unicorn charging admission
Nothing to Fear is one of those masterpiece records in which every track is a gem. By this point in the band’s career they were totally mainstreamed.
The final show is on YouTube and it’s fantastic. Watched it a couple weeks ago. Good mix of the later albums and the early punk/ska influenced stuff.
Danny Elfman, the composer so talented he needed a band as well.
Oct 1st. Opening with Dead Mans party. Good job OP!!
The 80’s were a strange time.
I love Oingo Boingo but I swear to God they looked like if just a bunch of middle aged dads decided to put a neighborhood band together for fun and they just kept getting more and more instruments and never turned anyone away because they all need this.
Saw Danny Elfman a few weeks ago in Irvine. His voice is amazing and I was shocked to learn he is 70. Such energy.
You can see the direction Elfman is headed by the number of instruments he has on stage that he’s headed towards symphony arrangements.
