Zac Efron looking like Lord Farquaad with the facial prosthetics and haircut they gave him. Seriously though, this movie looks like it’s going to be really good.
*Edit: Well FML, I feel really bad now. Looks like Zac’s face changed because of an accident that broke his jaw. I was sure it was prosthetics for the movie, to make him look more like his character, Kevin Von Erich. Holt McCallany – very underrated actor and seems to be perfect casting

Holt McCallany was the best part of Mindhunter IMO so I’m excited to see the rest of his performance here.

The cinematography really stands out with some great looking shots. The shot of Kerry on the motorcycle considering what happened, yeah they seem to know what they’re doing with this movie. I hope it’s good.
Don’t know if it’s going to be as good as I want it to be. Lot of it’ll hinge on how much of it is about Fritz
As a wrestling fan, the actual wrestling looks legitimately great. They clearly put in a ton of work into replicating 80’s WCCW-style wrestling. Outside of that, it’s an okay trailer but I still have high hopes for what should be a really emotional movie.

The trailer has got me hooked. Im happy to see Zac Efron in more dramatic films. But I hope this film is actually good enough to nab him an oscar nom. Which I think it will be. Sean Durkin is a very good writer/director.
The feel good family movie of the holiday season, folks
After Shameless and The Bear, Jeremy Allen White is becoming one of those actors that I’ll watch in anything. Dude is amazing. Knowing a bit about the real story of the Von Erich family, you just know he’ll do well in this role

I know very little about wrestling and nothing about this particular family. The trailer definitely has my attention. Looks like quite a movie!

I’m curious how Fritz Von Erich will depicted, whether it’ll show a near full-scope of his controversies or if there will be an attempt to make him sympathetic.
It’s cool that some actual wrestlers have been cast in this (MJF as Lance, among others). The wrestling looks pretty good in the trailer. Hopefully, they craft a great story and it’s not just a succession of events that happened to the family with no real thematic connection. Really ambitious to cover so much in a 2 hour film.

I like how they use actual lines that Kevin has said. That first line is something he has actually said in interviews. I’m 100% ready and invested in this.

The Von Erich story was always going to be perfect material for a biopic.
I was a huge wrestling fan at that age, so I’m well aware of the family. Though I was too young to realize the gravity of the real life stuff. I had two brothers and us played each brother. I was in the middle, so I was Kevin, while my younger brother was Mike and older brother was Kerry. As I recall, mikes death was actually a storyline in the wrestling show.

As a wrestling fan my whole life Ive been so hyped for this since I heard of it. The business has a history of sweeping dark instances from the past under a rug and pretending they never happened, but the story of the Von Erichs deserves to be told. I already know I’m gonna cry at the theatre
