I mean just watch the original Berserk anime from 1997, 90% of the sounds that play when combat is happening is directly replicated in Dark Souls, especially the backstab sound and the sound that plays when you get souls/runes after killing an enemy. If that’s not a direct reference I don’t know what else is.
Even a minute into that video when he kills the obvious source of Onion Knight, the sound that plays is just like the sound that plays when you beat a boss or “Enemy Felled” or what have you.
The only one I can actually agree on is the first one.
The second one is a thing used by way too many stories, the world tree from Norse myth and the third one I just don’t have enough knowledge about but it doesn’t seem like something that Berserk would start, can anybody inform me on this one?
Images are from this video [The Best Easter Eggs in ELDEN RING](https://youtu.be/rctIhZ05Z7Y)
Surprised you didn’t include Blaidd here, he’s literally just Guts. Rest in Peace, Kentaro Miura
Dont all souls games pay homage to berserk
New around here huh?
From Software should ask for Berserk licence to make a game of Berserk
What armor can I get that’s closest to guts berserker armor
Those first two swords look nothing alike?
Should probably use a picture of golden age guts, so the sword actually matches.
Every game since Demons Souls has been filled with berserk references, so this isn’t really new. It’s sort of expected.
Phenomenal manga
They been referencing since demon souls miyazaki is a huge fan of berserk
I see someone just watched FunWithGuru

Please let there be no horse refrence
You got the swords wrong. You wanted to compare to Gut’s first sword. As we can see that is not the DragonSlayer in the game.
The “prisoner” in character select is Griffith when he gets captured.
Where can i find that sword? I need it!
The dark souls game are built off the feeling of the art and such of Berserk and reference it. But this feels like actual tribute to Miura
Dont forget the Hawk prisoner armor set.
Missed the prisoner being Griffith when he was imprisoned and tortured.
I mean…. these images are pretty common tropes in fantasy. So…
The last picture reminds me a bit of [The Three Swords Monument](https://imgur.com/gallery/xnnYw) in Norway.
don’t they do this since DS1 or even Demon Souls?
***”You just stumbled over a stone in the road. It means nothing. Your goal lies far beyond this.”***
I’m pretty sure they said berserk is their original inspiration for the games
I think it’s about time we have it the other way around, a fully fledged berserk game made by from software.
The entire existence of Souls games are in and of itself a Berserk reference
You berserk Stans are something else
Tree is from Nordic mythology as well btw lol
All Miyazaki works are a homage to Miura and Lovecraft universe
RIP Kentaro Miura

I don’t feel like any of those images are unique to either thing (specific designs aside)
The World Tree it’s not a reference to Berserk tho, it’s literally mythology
