oh hey, that nazi dude is from the movie Persian Lessons, which was also a great wwii movie that came out this year, his performance is going to be great
My partner cried her eyes out at the book and then I sent her the first trailer for this and she cried at that as well. Safe to say tears will be shed when she watches the whole thing.
I feel like we’re missing a very integral character that’s key in developing Werner’s arc. Don’t wanna be too specific as to avoid spoilers, but I really hope it’s a case of the trailer not showing too much. Because if that character was omitted, it’d be a damn shame.
Really looking forward to this. The book was absolutely captivating and the show, on first glance, seems quite truthful to the source material.
The characters don’t really look how they were described in the book. If I remember correctly, Werner was described as being small and scrawny, and having white hair. Here he looks tall and blond. Marie was described as having milky white eyes, making it immediately obvious she was blind. I’m pretty sure her hair color was different too.
But it wouldn’t be the first time an adaptation had the characters look different than in the source material.
I don’t know if the series itself will be good or not. Would probably feel more confident if it was HBO instead of Netflix.
Amazing book – I’m a big fan of Anthony Doeer but I just have so little confidence in Netflix to do an adaptation these days. Here’s to hoping for the best.
Looks great – heard the book is good, as well
I love the dude from dark. Even though he is much older then book character.

Looks interesting. I hope the Germans actually speak German though. It’s weird in English
Crazy how different Hugh Laurie looks with that beard. Looks like it might be a good adaptation
Been looking forwards to this, I hope it’s good.

Absolutely loved the book and hope the show lives up to it.
Wow, Netflix looks like they’re actually trying to produce something of quality again. Not sure if it’s enough to lure me back but it’s tempting.
Good to see Hugh Laurie in something again.
Kind of weird to hear him doing his American/House voice. Is Hugh Laurie’s character suppsoed to be American?
Finally! A movie for blind people!

Lars Eidinger was really good in Irma Vep and he looks incredibly evil in this.
It’s getting a score by James Newton Howard, so you know this is gonna be good.

Yonas
Hugh Laurie?
Sold.
I’m mainly excited for Jakob Diehl, August’s little brother. He portrayed perhaps the absolute creepiest character in Dark, really left a mark on me.
I loved this book and hope this isn’t a big let down.
Is that Jonas?
Looks absolutely gorgeous visually it has to be said.
The novel was amazing but I am not feeling the trailer.
