That’s why I only eat wholesome food before going to the zoo. I don’t want the animals to get sick just because they have to eat me when I’m lying at their feet.
In Indian zoo, a child offered a chocolate to a tiger…and the tiger took it with his arm…( iirc he was with his grandmother , and when she wasn’t looking , he crossed the guard railing and stuck his arm inside the fence…)
Or it could get them killed to save you. Harambe dying put us on the current timeline, think of all the trouble we could have avoided if it wasn’t for that kid.
There was an incident at my local zoo where a woman was feeding lettuce to a rhino and it accidentally ate her finger. I was talking with one of the zookeepers about it and she said that the rhino got pretty sick and didn’t eat at all for a while after the incident. Poor fella.
When I was 2 or 3 years old (so mid-80s), I leaned in a little too close to the duck pond at our local zoo and fell in. 30+ odd years later, it still gets brought up in the family….and the zoo now has the ducks in a different area.
The same signs are in many Canadian zoos as well. Exact same wording. I’d love to meet the salesman who came up with that and sold it to zoos around the globe.
Poor animals
Dublin Zoo; meh
Fota Island Wildlife Reserve; gusta

I mean Forreal, y’all see what most of y’all eat?
I’ve never had a tick bite me… That’s how disgusting I am
I love Ireland
Don’t feed the animals
We give our lions red meat once a week. Please do not climb on the fences and ruin their diet.

RIP Harambe
Don’t forget , there is a fine for feeding the animals too.
There’s another one in the same zoo which reads;
>”Please do not irritate, annoy, bother, irk, harass, badger, tease, torment, provoke, madden, taunt, anger, displease, pester, bully, exasperate, rile or vex our animals. Thank you.”
RIP Harambe!

Lean? 😳
Yeah, think of the animals you jerks!
There is a sign in Edinburgh zoo which says “Do not let your children climb on the fence, we feed our animals enough protein”.

How offensive! I am a very healthy snack with lots of valuable vitamins and nutrients.
I saw a similar sign at the San Diego zoo back in 1988… and it is still there…

Seriously dont do it the animals dont want be sick
NO LEAN!?!?!???!?!?!
I love it!
Is this an isolated sign at that zoo? Or, are all the signs there similar?
At nearly every zoo.
” Might” ?
They are sloppy eaters, too. Cleanup is annoying, and then there is picking rings and gold crowns out of their feces.
Don’t feed the wildlife with your poisonous sorry ass. Got it. Good safety tip.
I love that they are genuinely more concerned about the animals than the patrons.
This is the way.
How long has this been circulating? I swear I saw this like five years ago.
Wellington Zoo used to have similar signs (maybe they still do?). It was one of our favorite parts of visiting.
I wish there was a fake Halloween store skeleton laying in the bushes
😄
Harambe didn’t kill himself
I love that the Irish never miss the opportunity to make a joke out of something serious.
We don’t want the animals getting sick…
Because of the alcohol? Since the Irish are drunks?
Lol
Triggered! LOL.

I love the Dublin zoo. Favorite zoo. 7/11, perfect score.
