One of the unfortunate things about getting older is having seen so much that intentionally silly / absurd things aren’t amusing like they would’ve been when you were younger.
This is the laziest humor imaginable. Take a silly idea, take five minutes writing an incredibly repetitive song repeating that silliness over and over, throw in some randomness (I’m the penguin of DOOM! *Holds up Spork*), and then do nothing to actually pay off the sketch or even evolve the initial idea.
And the best part is, if you screw up any part of it, no one will be able to tell. Like, imagine the guy had accidentally pronounced a word incorrectly. Would they go back and fix the mistake? Why bother when the audience won’t notice or care! He’s already spouting nonsense words anyway. That’s what I mean by lazy here. They could literally do anything, and their audience will laugh anyway out of the expectation that “Of course this is funny! It’s so wacky!”
Question for anyone who likes this… if he just kept naming foods for the next 3 hours, and the sketch just kept going and going, would it be more or less funny to you? At what point would you get bored of it? Because it was 20 seconds for me, but I’m guessing people who like this shit have much lower standards.
Tell me about your dad
Duck a l’orange
Imagine you’re recovering from an eating disorder just to hear this all over tiktok
This PSA makes me think Pierre should’ve known that the Dream Cream wasn’t safe to ingest
