Back in 2008, that feeling when you come home from school and this is what you see waiting for you. Good times…

That game was so much fun back in the day. Would have tons of people come over for tournaments.
That version was less fun than the others. The whole “pay to unlock” bit was poor game design. The improvements to the guitar were spot on though. The tapping up top was really great! Played SO MUCH custom GH 3 on my Wii.
I still play Rock Band to this day. I have thousands of songs on that one.
yeah
I loved that game but sweet jesus I was awful at it.
Would bartend until 11pm, go to a friends house after and play this with a few others until 2-3am. Did this for about a year and could not have asked for a better time.
Guitar Hero 2 on PS2 was not only the peak of gaming, but of civilization as a whole. It’s been nothing but downhill ever since.
Got this around the same time and fell in love with the series. 15 years later and I just got it again with warriors of rock, Metallica and GH5. Sunday night is Guitar Hero night
I’d consider buying an xbox if they re released GH 1-3 with some quality peripherals.
My best Rock Band(not guitar hero)memory was when I shared an apartment with a friend. Had another friend over to play, none of us could drum, and they were both refused to sing so I got on mic. Adjusted my volume so my voice wouldn’t come through the mic, but my friends both wore headsets to chat with the drummer we matched with. That poor bastard got my singing 2x.
Because of this learned to play drums.
Good times for sure!
For Wii was so good. I remember thinking of band names and being proud to come up with anything remotely good.
I still think guitar hero live was the best. I loved the button changes they made.
This was me in 08, but with The Orange Box instead (and the start of my steam library. Yay for 15 years.
My basement used to flood pretty much anytime it rained the slightest bit when i was younger. It caused my parents some great stress especially if it was going to rain for multiple days and one time it rained for like a week so my dad was basically cleaning up rain water in the basement 24/7. I remember when it stopped me and my mom were out running errands and by the time we came back my dad was sitting on the couch with the rock band drum, two guitars, and a microphone set up and a brand new xbox. He had gone out while we’re out of the house and bought all of these things. I remember him saying “if you need me, i will be rocking”
Was awesome while it lasted… maybe 2 years. Then no good…
Not going to lie based on box size and color I thought it was Gloomhaven, the point still stands!
Yes. I loved when I came home and saw my bed. It was time for a NAP
I play Clone Hero at work, on my phone.
World tour? Ehh it was Ok. Guitar hero 2 and 3 were the peak. I guess you can throw rocks the 80s in there since it’s between them.
The inevitable butt cheek shaped sweat pool on the seat after playing drums for a bit.
That was my favorite guitar hero, mainly because of the avatar and guitar customization lol
Many years before that, it was a fight over Atari or Starblazers. I usually got to watch Starblazers, my first intro to Anime.
Those were really good times!
It brings back memories of me and my brother playing Eye of the Tiger together.
And then you take a picture of it with your GameBoy camera
I don’t want to be that guy, but with the approach of October.
Feeling nostalgic for 2008 is not where you want to be right now.
