Seems like a more mature take given he’s an older new incarnation just with the same face. I never liked the 10th Doctor or RTD’s tenure, nothing against Tennant great actor, but he never sat right with me back then. More of a classic fan. Of the revival I loved Ecclestone, Capaldi and Hurt. So am intrigued for the first time in several years and how Tennant plays it differently.
That final shot of a Ncuti yasss
Ah fuck it I’m excited
‘WHAT THE HELL?! WE’VE GOT A BLOODY MARTIAN IN THE SHED!’ is such a perfect line for Catherine Tate’s character. It’s gonna be so good to see Catherine and David back on our screens for one more adventure together.
That little teaser of Ncuti as well… They’re really keeping his stuff under wraps and just giving us the smallest bits and pieces to go off of.
Can I just say I find distasteful that shot of the doctor flying in a UNIT military helicopter onto an ostentatious landing pad that brings to mind Iron Man/Elon Musk? I guess as I have gotten older, I have less tolerance for superhero stories and how they are tied to support for the military and fear of outsiders.
But I’m also excited for the return of Russel T Davies and for the arrival of Ncuti Gatwa as the next Doctor. Ughh maybe this will get me to subscribe to Disney+ briefly (and then I can watch Andor, too)
The ~~Rennai~~Tennantssance continues. This is the third immortal character DT’s set to reprise this year. So far, he’s been fantastic as Crowley and Huyang so I have high hopes for this.
At the end of RTD’s first phenomenal run, the show deteriorated rapidly because he’d run out of new stories to tell.
I would like to be excited about RTD’s return, but everything we’ve seen so far suggests he does not, in fact, have any new stories to tell.
I love ten and donna, my fave duo <3 I could not be more excited for this!
The BBC has confirmed that Neil Patrick Harris is playing >!The Celestial Toymaker!<.
Not watched Doctor Who since Capaldi, be nice to see Tennant again
Man, can’t believe it’s been 7 years since I stopped watching Who regularly. “The Husbands of River Song” was the last episode I truly enjoyed. Since then I tried each season, but it was off.
This made me quite excited.
It feels good to actually care about Doctor Who again. Can’t wait. I stopped after Chris Chibnall’s first series because of how dull and boring it was.
I’m entirely down for this but I do think the new logo looks like Paw Patrol.
Hah love the scene about the threat being so bad that the Tardis ran away hahaha. RTD is so creative with the lore.
