I kept a log book of all the dogs on my delivery route. I don’t do this job anymore and I miss em.

Those were definitely perks of the job.
I love the “BIG treats ok” line haha
Awww, that’s adorable! ๐
That’s wholesome ๐
Post on r/dogs!
The drivers that come always give treats and pets. They go crazy when he pulls up lol
Big Fluffy
I think it would be easier to note dogs that don’t like treats ๐
“Riko” likes treats
I’m wondering if there’s a dog that doesn’t.
Already know your a good person! โ๏ธ
I like the treats ok notation. Iโm assuming you remember which ones like belly rub ok chin scratch ok. Cute, regardless
Love the arrow pointing to the sneaky doggo whose a runner ๐คฃ๐คฃ
This is incredibly happy making! ๐
You are the sweetest!!!
Like a old mob guy running numbers in a book but with cute dog names and treats lol
Haha, I’ve thought about doing the same so that anyone who fills in for me knows what to do. There are a few dogs that are aggressively friendly, like they will run you down to lick you. There are a couple that are very large and scary looking, but they are super sweet and I always have a treat for them. Currently, I only have a few houses with dogs that I won’t go near.
“runner”
Deaddd
you must’ve had to have had a LOT of treats when you went on your rounds
My old man was allergic to fucking eveything. Thank you for keeping track of who can have treats! Some folks don’t think about it and he had to deal with some nasty several week long rashes due to carelessness. The only positive was that it was a unhappy rash sort of allergy and not the throat closes up and he dies kind.
He’s over the rainbow bridge now and didn’t have to go a second sooner partly due to the fact everyone around him was diligent in his care.
You can add my dogs Bernadette and Eleanor. They both like treats.
When Covid started and working home became my norm, my dogs started to get to spend a lot more time outside. One day a few months in the mailman had to come to the porch to make a package delivery and I noticed from the upstairs window that the dogs ran to the porch to see him. It surprised me the dogs never barked.
I later played the Ring video and it showed the dogs excitedly run to him wagging their tails. The mailman said โYou know what youโre supposed to doโ and they both immediately sat. He then produced treats for both of them from his pocket.
Until that moment Iโd had no idea that this was an interaction that had been happening and that he was training my dogs. ๐
I love this so much.
bless you! โค๏ธ
You should go drive your old route one day on your day off and bring them each a treat!
I did seasonal work with UPS and the driver I was working with was scared to death of dogs. First one I saw I just went up, put out my hand, let it sniff me, and we were best friends.
Dude thought I was a level 20 ranger taming beasts.
