Charles Bronson was a great character actor IMO.
Apparently they brought 3 too many. Or did his lucky pocket bible save him?
The buildup to the start of the video you shared really makes the intro in my opinion. I haven’t watched this in a while, but I feel like there’s probably 5 minutes of mostly silent, atmospheric, footage missing here
Henry Fonda (not in this scene) who was always seen as a innocent guy did a masterful job playing the villain int his movie. Props to him.
One of the best things about this scene is how slowly everything happened in the wild west. When Jack Elam catches the fly with his gun barrel. And how woody strode collects the water in his hat. Soooo good.
The audio is amazing.
Intro’s
“I saw three of these dusters a short time ago. They were waiting for a train. Inside the dusters there were three men.
Inside the men there were three bullets.”
Agreed. That opening.
Little fluffy clouds.
Everything about this movie gives me goosebumps— the dialogue, the cinematography, the score! This will always be in my top 5 movies ever.
Your friends have a high mortality rate, Frank.
One of my favorite Westerns of all time… I’d love it if they made them like this again
So then what happened? Everybody’s dead?
Love this movie, such a powerful end, even when you’ve seen it before.
“You brought two too many” is one of the hardest lines ever uttered in film.
.That one guy in the middle was a lifetime villain actor.
Man, there are some crazy nice framing in there.
In german, the movie’s called “Spiel mir das Lied vom Tod” which roughly translates to “Play me the song of death”
I have never saw this but am going to change that very soon. This looks well crafted and badass.
Charles Bronson was great.
That was some of the best cinematography I have ever seen. This is now in my must watch list
This is my favourite movie. Jason Robards character Cheyenne and Claudia Cardinale as the widow are both brilliant.
Sergio’s masterpiece
I’m glad Clint turned this down – Charles Bronson was great in the roll.
All of the spaghetti westerns are brilliant. Nothing comes close. Soundtracks by Enno Morricone the icing on the cake
