the internet owes this woman an apology
I remember telling my friend while marathoning this together that this episode was rated like a 10/10 by everyone and to strap in. Was not disappointed.
Honestly, I put off the show for so long just because of so many people pushing me to watch it. Got bored during quarantine and started it up with a roommate and the hype was not exaggerated.
This will always just remind me of r/Dexter, who had given up
on the final season due to how bad it was, and instead start having
*Breaking Bad* discussion threads! Both shows were airing their final seasons at the same time, and difference in quality was staggering.
[Here’s the actual thread.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dexter/comments/1mh0zu/official_breaking_bad_episode_discussion_s05e14/) It was funny but sad at the
same time, lol.
*Start of the show* : “Wow Skylar so naggy worst character”
*End of the show* : “Shank him Skylar you got a family to protect”

Re watching some old clips from this episode, and I just realized there’s no music under half of the videos I just watched. I don’t think I even noticed that the first time I watched this episode. It’s just so tense and the no background music makes it so much better.
TEN YEARS?!!?? WHAT? I cannot believe it.
The greatest single episode in television history
Omg. What a work of art this whole show was/is. Thanks for posting.
Wait how come Jr. turned on Walt so quickly? Was that the moment he put it altogether? I mean he Was pretty clueless the whole series.
The only episode of TV with a perfect 10 on IMDb
One of the best shows of the decade
Crazy it’s’ been that long that I forgot all about this scene. That was intense!
One of the finest shows ever.
This show was amazing!!
The way he morphed and hardened along the way. Amazing acting.
One of the best scenes in television. When this 5th season started, it was only a matter of time until it got to a point like this, but then they left us on the best and worst cliffhanger.
Don’t think we were ready for what the last half of the season entailed because To’haijalee and this are two of the finest hours of television.
The only Walt JR. scene where he’s not eating cereal.
Over 5 seasons the show made a bunch promises to the audience, and this was the episode that paid them all off.
What would happen with Hank?
Would Jesse ever find out about Jane’s death?
What would it look like if Walt became a wanted man?
How would Walt Jr find out?
All those questions had lingered, simmering, for years to the point where you just knew the show could *never* actually manage to deliver the closure with them…but holy fuck did they get the closure they deserved. Lined em up one by one and knocked em down. Outstanding television.
God damn that show is a masterpiece and an absolute masterclass on how to finish a show properly. It’s still the best TV drama of all time.
The acting by nearly every person in the show is top notch. This scene is just amazing to watch. The sheer amount emotions and fear being displayed be every character in this impossible climax of years of chains of events leading to this.
I think I might have to watch the whole series again now.
Oh, and Better Call Saul is almost just as perfect
One of my favorite things about Breaking Bad was I watched it week to week as it aired on AMC from day 1. I could tell from some of the interviews with the actors that it was going to be special. I was living at home at the time and my Mom walked in during the middle of the first episode and she got hooked too.. so we watched the entire series together ❤️. I would post on Facebook weekly “Why is nobody watching the best show on TV???”
Still the best tv episode I’ve ever seen
Literal chills
I watched it the night it aired, then watched it two more times that night.
I remember wondering, is this the best television I’ll ever see?
Ten years later and I still haven’t seen a better episode of anything.
Loved it when an episode started with Walt’s corrido.
Arguably the best episode of television in human history. Watching this for the first time was absolutely mind-blowing.
Arguably the best individual episode of television ever.
This is an incredible scene but Walt just out of the blue telling Jesse he let Jane die made me audibly gasp.
My brother was the only person I knew back then who watched BB. He was in Japan when this episode came out and I had no one to talk to about it.
Absolute torture.
I love this show. Watched this the first time in my mid 20s and I hated Skyler. Why couldn’t she just support her poor husband.
Watched it again a few years later in my early 30s and could not believe how much my world view had changed.
This is the show that made me realize how incredibly sexist I was when I was younger.
Skyler was such a pivotal character to me. I will never forget her.
Anna Gunn, your outstanding performance in this show helped me realize how misogynistic I was and helped me change into a better person.
