These guys did the same thing I did, but I was home yelling at the TV instead of at the movies

Still my favorite show
r/mst3k
In a not too distant future—somewhere in time and space!
Mine, as well, I was a Mike guy. I still have all the Mike episodes on DVDs from when you could find people sharing them.
I couldn’t agree more
👌 It stinks!
…McCloud
Pluto has an entire MST3K channel
ROBOT ROLL CALL!!!
So imaginative. I miss spontaneous creativity. You know, from humans.
It’s a long par 5 leading to the nation’s Capitol
TVs Frank ruled
I was hospitalized as a child, and it was fairly serious. I would wake up in pain late at night, and turn on the TV, and SciFi (I think?) would run late night marathons. It’s one of my earliest memories, and it really impacted my sense of humor.
I still keep Turkey day holy by playing the Turkey day marathon.
The PSA’s from the 40s & 50s are hilarious, great show.
Its a good one
Friend of mine had one of those huge satellite dishes in their front yard. I would go over there to watch ms3k.
Brings me back! I would watch with my kids when they were little- they liked watching ‘the talking cans’.
Still my favorite show, regardless how disappointing all the revival attempts have been.
I got to see Joel in the touring show right before Covid and he was phenomenal.
This show made me who I am today
This show is (was now?) always streaming free somewhere and I’d always find it and put it on if I had the remote control. I did it so often my wife wouldn’t give me the remote for like a year. 🤣
When Joel left it wasn’t the same. Funny as shit
in the not to distant future.
I’ll watch this one again.
My favs were ***”Jack frost”*** and …oh i smoke too much….crap what was it.
***”The day the earth Froze!”***
…Do you remember the day the earth froze?
“Don’t move, or I will fill your prescription!!!”
Still my favorite show
Used to record it on VHS when it was on Comedy Central back in the day ⭐️
Nothing like getting high in the 90s and watching that at night.
That used to crack me the fuck up.
Watch out for snakes
My sides have never hurt so much from laughing
I live in Wisconsin near Green Bay. My best work friend, Tom, who is around 60 (he retired last year) was childhood friends with Joel and they used to sit around and “riff” on movies together when they were kids. Joel gives him credit for being part of what led to MST3K. I knew Tom for over two years before I found this out and the info didn’t come from him. It came from Joel himself via a conversation I had with him on one of Tom’s Facebook posts.
Puma man, he flies like a moron!
Omg the Mac and Me episode is hysterical
1990 and still going strong with the various incarnations. Raisded kids with it and will be starting on the grandkids. Many thanks for countless hours of entertainment. Truly a National and Cultural Treasure.
They have a Twitch stream that is always on.
Love it.
Oh, the bad guy is ALSO David Warner!

You know a show is funny if a stupid random pic like this makes me softly chuckle to myself
Watch out for snakes!
Still the best. We just watched Reptilicus tonight.

Would have never known about the best worst movie of all time if it were not for this show. Manos: The Hands of Fate. Poor Torgo…..
This is nice with a side of ‘Kids in the Hall’.
I toured the Best Brains studio in the 90’s and it was life-changing. (As evidenced by my username.)
Played basketball with Mike. Met TV’s Frank; he was a great dude and very kind.
The set was astoundingly cool – the satellite of love’s wall behind them is literally a bunch of random junk painted over with white paint, and it looks great on TV.
I actually go to sleep with the MST3K channel on my Roku TV
I remember having the hardest time adjusting to Mike after Joel left. But it helped to learn that he had been head writer. I definitely feel in the years when he wa son screen the riffs were more frequent and often funnier–he totally won me over. I’ll always miss Trace as Crow
Thick McRunfast!
Used to work on both of the streaming shows. Making Joel laugh on a video call remains the highlight of my career.
MITCHELL!
Still my favorite show. Used to watch it with my buddy when it first came out we were in highschool. Right before covid the live show came to our area. I immediately bought two tickets and my buddy and I went. Joel Hodgson did the show! It was at a prestigious theater and you walked in and the juxtaposition of the people that had no idea what was gonna play that night and just wanted to go to the theater dressed to the nines and the rest of us MST3K lovers dressed like morons was amazing! One woman looked like she was going to the Oscar’s and then took off her cashmere shawl wrap and had a MST3K shirt on! The show was amazing having all of the characters on the show in the room with us!! They did a Jean Claude van Damme movie that he was in for two minutes. You could see the theater regulars not liking the show at all and my buddy and I were rolling in the floor!! It was amazing to us to have the guys hear our laughs! This show is very important to us and always will be.
