I say donkey Kong country 2 when asked. It’s definitely a game I play about twice a week. Every year I get better at beating the game. It’s been a wild journey.
I have this problem faaaaar too often, but for a different reason.
I say “I play games to relax.”
They say “So do I! Are you Xbox of Playstation?”
At that moment, I already know: They play, exclusively, CoD/GTA:O/battleRoyaleGameHere and/or a sports game.
Which is fine. They’re still gamers. I’ve just yet to find many people IRL that play games like I do. Which is to actually buy and play many genres of games.
I know others like me exist. I’ve made and lost a handful of them as friends. They’re just so much more rare than I’d thought they’d be, considering I’m in IT.
When the boyfriends/husbands are brought along to the girls night and you find the one other gamer you can relate to, and you ask him what he plays and he says “racing games.”
Alright I guess we’ll all just talk about movies or something.
I just think they’re neat
Gotta Catch them all……
Oh man this month was great got BG3 and armored core 6 will wait with starfield a little (overall playtime last two weeks 3h…)
I don’t like to be called out like this and I’m feeling attacked…

I don’t understand
Have you ever heard the tradegy of every Steam player?
20 Minutes till dawn is your first game? You don’t have 0RBITALS, scrub.
WH40K enthusiast chimming in to say we do all the above in our hobby 😀
I think he means he just buys video games but never gets round to playing them. That or I don’t get the joke either!

>play video game
>fall in love with series
>keep consuming the series
>hyperfixate on series and don’t shut up abt it
>overshare about the series to anyone who’s willing to listen
>feel like an asshole for boring everyone
>repeat when done with/have found a new video game franchise
You either have money to buy and no time to play, or time to play but no money to buy.
Thought this was pcm, it took me 5 minutes to realize what the joke was about
i get so much more value from games when they aren’t brand new to my brain

because of this, i really love MMOs. living worlds that constantly get updated. Been playing WoW, OSRS and GW2 for many years.

I also really love reboots/remakes like pokemon does from time to time.

I have 100 games in my Steam library and I’ve played half of them. Such a dilettante. Should have 1000 and play none of them.
I honestly don’t get people like this and I think I never will.
Like, games aren’t cheap. Even cheap games aren’t cheap. I can’t fathom not playing a game that I paid money for.
Steam sale hoarders where ya at?
The punchline definitely should have been better visually communicated in this comic.
He chose infinite games but no games
Ghouls

Y’all need to learn some restraint
At first I thought this was a “making games” joke, so I thought it was relatable. I now realize I’m too broke to relate to this.

That is a very satisfying dual-color gradient speech bubble. This must be the latest in speech bubble technology.
Steam needs to stop taking the money out of my bank account.
As you get older you realize that buying video games and playing video games are two different hobbies…
I admit I’ve bought games I never finished, but I don’t understand buying a thousand digital games I’ll never download.
Nowadays, we don’t have specific hobbies that we can do if we are bored. We just get our cellphones on scroll social media.
