Thanks for the reminder, perfect time to pull out the Dreamcast and do a playthrough of Sonic Adventure 2 again.
I don’t know if there’s supposed to be a standard on what’s retro, but I consider the 360/PS3 generation to be retro at this point.

1999-2008 Brilliant era. I’m glad I’m from the UK, we got to have the DC in the market a bit longer (around early 03 is when I recall it fading away a lot)…
4th Gen and 6th Gen were the best IMO
If you have a 1.0 – 1.5v original xbox you need to replace the capacitors. One of them is called “clock capacitor” and is currently dissolving your motherboard.

Tbh, I’ve been seeing 6th gen games in retro stores for years. They went retro a while ago, especially Gamecube!
Love the fact I can emulate all of these consoles on my Steam Deck and take them with me everywhere.

Ah, the good ol’ Dreamcast! Time to dust off my copy of Seaman and have some existential conversations with my virtual pet.
The only thing I hated about the wireless controllers for the GameCube was if you had more than one they would get confused as to which slot was which and it would confuse the shit outta people lol
I lost many summers to the PS2, it’s still my favorite console to date. The GBA is a close second.

They’re retro and most impressively, you can play their games on your phone with emulators! Technology is amazing.
I really wish SEGA didn’t balls everything up for themselves. Exclusive game wise they were really on the ball for a great number of years.

the buzz i got playing gta 3 on the ps2 at about 10 years old is still unmatched! that memory will be one of my favorite for life.

Ah, the Dreamcast. The console that was ahead of its time and behind on sales. Time for some nostalgia gaming!
I love the GameCube (I have two first RVL-001 Wiis, but I would buy a GameCube anyway) and Ps2 (I currently have). I like the Original Xbox (my favorite of all Xboxes in fact) and the Dreamcast.
I feel that 6th Generation had the best console games.
