I remember liking the comic but being surprised at how fundamentally dark it was even compared to Stevenson’s other stuff, I’m curious how this was translated.
Interesting idea although the fact that a skillful shape shifter working as a sidekick of normal human is odd.. ?, but maybe that’s part of the humor, I’ll watch it.
Either they’ve toned it down for the trailer, or they’ve dropped the plot point about Nimona >!being incredibly deceitful and manipulative about her goals, history, and powers.!<
I’m sure this is for someone. Whoever this is for, I hope they take a break from their fifth Steven Universe rewatch to enjoy this and I hope they have a good time.
Looks to have potential. Though I can’t say I’m looking forward to seeing more of the protagonist. Smart-mouthed and edgy seems like an obnoxious combination.
Something about facial animations these days is off putting. Every expression seems so damn generic.

Medieval futurism, dragon prince vibes, and a fun story? I’m in for it.
I miss 2D animation.

I’m glad that Blue Sky’s final film was finished.

Ah yes, smart-ass characters, quick quips, fights with no real stakes, generic facial expressions. My kid’ll love it.
Apparently, four thumbs wiggling around like that makes me a tad squeamish.
I was interested for the first 40 seconds. I dig the style and the looks.
When she turned into random red animals I was not interested anymore.
Another “stop the three-minute demonstration of the entire movie before you reach 1:00” videos.
Love the graphic novel, sad about all the quips and tropey dialogue moments
I still can’t believe they saved it and it looks fantastic. You get one win Netflix. I will give you this in the sea of stupid and annoying decisions.
