Whenever I see projects like this, I think back to that Chrono Resurrection fan project and always wonder when a project is going to get a ceast and desist. I always hope it’s not the case though. The Chrono Resurrection project still stings to this day.

I can’t believe this is even a fan project. This is actually insane lol. I have never played FF9 but will definitely check it out once this one comes out.
Its amazing but I don’t really think that they would ever finish it, its too big of a project, I wish I’m wrong.

I never understood this trend to remake. For example FF9 is a unique work of art, and everything that tries to recreate it will inevitably misrepresent it. This is why I do not buy and play remakes, i feel the time and resources should go to new projects.
Yes many will tell that the industry prefers the comfort zone of the known to the uncertainty of the unknown, bla bla bla. Here however we have a FAN project, talented people who spend time and energy to replicate what cannot be replicated, art.
And this is the reason, my friends, as to why AI art doesn’t pose a threat. AI can just create what has been already been created, it cannot invent something, but this is another topic.
