I can’t tell whether or not Ebert is being facetious when he calls Siskel’s review “sophisticated”. All Siskel did is briefly recap the plot and then say he doesn’t recommend it because it tired him out. I don’t think that even qualifies as a review, and it’s certainly not sophisticated. I honestly don’t understand how either of these hacks ever made a living as professional critics.
I remember watching this at the cinema when I was 7-8 years old. When the wolf fell off the cliff, some guy up the back yelled out “SPLAT!” Everyone laughed.
Captures everything that made those two so entertaining to watch. I Miss that show so much.

I liked Benji. It was wholesome like Grizzly Adams or the Littlest Hobo.
