When my identity becomes reduced to a social standard of sexuality and that’s how I am remembered… Idk about that.
I don’t mind the plaque, I just think it’s weird to put sexual orientation on a stone and call it representation for those individuals.
They should be remembered. And yes, their sacrafices are huge. But ‘they’ are the individuals, I don’t think it’s right to create more perceived segregation. The writing is on the wall and this new breed of acceptance is teetering towards further divide in the name of inclusion. In other words, people who benefit the most know how to keep us fighting!

I’m sure over the course of history there have been many gay men killed in action. Probably less lesbians, because the military is generally more men than women especially in times past. Sure, lets put bisexual in there too, I’m sure there were plenty of them. But I wonder how many transgender veterans have been killed in action.
Not saying it hasn’t happened, just doesn’t seem like their usual career choice.
