Be proud. Arlington is an honor. All the males in my family are / will eventually be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. 🇺🇸❤️
The funeral I attended at Arlington Cemetery definitely stands out as one of the more sobering experiences of my life. This pic seems to capture that feeling.
Sorry for your loss.

Step dad and mom buried there as well. 🇺🇸 sorry 4 your loss
I’m sorry for your loss.
I am wondering how long the process took for you from end of life to burial. My father-in-law passed last October and we’re still waiting for the next step in the process of his inurnment at Arlington.

I hope that you are coming to peace with your loss. My father is at Quantico and I think my aunt decided my grandfather should be at the old family church cemetery, in Nokesville. Haven’t been to Arlington National in a while. They do a great job there though.
Your tryna get up votes for this? Cringe
Respect! Sorry for your loss.
I’m sorry for your loss.
We thank him, and you and your family, for his service.
You should be very proud, OP. I’m sorry for your loss.
Much respect to your father and those who served with him.
Sorry for your loss and thank you and his family for his service.
Working for oil companies is tough.
My grandfather who was a Colonel in the Army passed in 1987 and was buried there. When my grandmother passed away in 2018, we had her buried with him in the same plot over thirty years later. it’s bittersweet even five years on, but I’m happy that they are together. the service for my grandmother has handled with the upmost respect. I don’t think there was a single dry eye when the soldiers carried her casket in to its final resting place with taps playing.

To be buried there is a great honor. The requirements to be laid to rest there are extensive.
I am a decorated veteran who has various combat tours and I don’t rate to be buried there.
May I ask what he did to deserve such an honor? I know dying in combat gets you there or a Medal of Honor recipient. I’m not sure of the prerequisites.
Sorry for your loss.
He’s in good company. Sorry for your loss.

Silence and respect.
May He Rest In Peace 🇺🇸
My dad’s wishes were to be inurned in the columbarium there. He died in November 2021 from Covid, Purple Heart recipient in the Vietnam War, and we’re still holding onto his ashes because we can’t quite let him go, knowing he’ll forever be on the opposite side of the country from us.
We were told between 12 and 18 months for them to officially place him, and while it’s a long time to wait, still doesn’t feel long enough.
Powerful picture
Are they going to run out of room there some day?
Salute, sorry for your loss
RIP 🪦 🇺🇸
One of those graves belongs to Colonel Cotton Hill. 🫡

I am sorry. my dad is thankfully with us but is going in a military cemetery also. my mom is on a shelf across the room from me.
Forty years ago, on my way through the Northeast to New York, I stopped at Arlington Cemetery, plus at the Vietnam Memorial. Very sobering.
Sorry for your loss pal.
My dad(and mom) plus 2 brothers -in-law are at Barancas National in Pensacola.
Fun fact… soldiers who fought for the South all face away from other soldiers because they turned their backs on the union
I’m sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss
My Mother’s cremation urn is there somewhere (I found it once), but for some reason her record of being there cannot be found on their website.
