Peter Cushing lurking in the background
I regret to inform you that >!they have both passed!<.
In their cases, “legend” doesn’t seem like a strong enough word.
I really need to look into Christopher Lees life as he was an amazingly interesting character before he got into acting.
You should know that the grave could never tame (them)
Every year around Halloween I watch Vincent Price recite the Raven. Music to my ears.
I always loved the old Hammer Horror films, and Price’s Theatre of Blood is “priceless”!
Christopher Lee was a real bad ass in his real life. He joined the RAF as a young man at the outset of World War 2 and was part of their intelligence service, eventually being attached to the elite special forces – the SAS.
He often worked in special operations behind enemy lines.
The story goes that later during his acting career the director was preparing him for a scene where he was to “kill” another actor. The director said to him that he wanted him to imagine the horror of beating a man to death with his bare hands and breaking of bones, etc. To which Lee turned and said, “I don’t have to imagine anything old chap”.
Christopher Lee was 6’5” and Vincent Price was 6’4”.
I’m not able to watch this with sound at the moment but the camera work was fantastic.
I love how they talk.
Badass
Fantastic movie!
It’s my birthday today too!
Two people that couldn’t be any more different. Christopher Lee was a total bad ass. Look him up.
Remarkable.
Vincent Price wrote cook books.
Waaaay back in the late 80s (maybe early 90s), I watched an interview with Vincent Price where he was wearing a red flannel shirt, blue jeans, and cowboy boots. That man was amazing. I really need to buy his cookbooks.
I met VP in about 72… very cool guy.
BOO!
Thrilling!
Well done.. Happy Birthday to these legends. They really knew how to deliver
How did this footage even survive, with these two legends chewing up all the scenery?
