Such a long time ago. She is talented, definitely a good singer.
Makes one wonder who came in 1st and 2nd.
And you know who was first? John Fucking Denver.
Third place was generous.
The host someone rocking all the tim and Eric mannerisms
Stefani Germanotta is perfect; her name is fantastic, and would have been lovely to hear. It sounds more like a fancy rich person, to be honest.
In case it’s not clear: this a performance of two songs (the upbeat Electric Kiss starts around 3:30), both of which Gaga wrote just for this performance. I think it would be reasonable to assume these were established songs.
And because everyone is wondering:
> She ended up coming in 3rd place, 2nd place was Funky Butter, and 1st place was Tom Costello & Stephan Magloire.

Nobody cared who she was until she put on her masks.
On a more serious note, these songs *are* rather lackluster. So I’d say Lady Gaga isn’t the successful product of just Stefani Germanotta, but also all the other people that’ve worked with her in various ways to make it happen. E.g.:
>In 2007, Alan Melina and Laurent Besencon, of New Heights Entertainment, the management company for Lady Gaga and RedOne, were introduced to each other.[12] RedOne co-wrote and [co-produced](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RedOne_production_discography) Gaga’s debut studio album The Fame (2008), and its reissue The Fame Monster (2009), including the top five singles “Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, “LoveGame”, and “Bad Romance”.
I despise pop music in general. But Lady Gaga is one of the few artists in the genre that I respect and admire for her talent and commitment, and just being awesome in general. Even though I don’t really listen to her music, but if one of her songs comes on somewhere, I smile. 🙂
Can’t miss the superstar talent even that far back. How many performers write their own high-quality songs, music and lyrics, then perform them flawlessly with heavy blues delivery on both piano and voice, including perfect high notes?
Only superstars do that.
How the hell did she finish third????
Ive always thought it was kinda weird there are not very many viral talent show videos. Usually you hear about those really talented people having been doing their thing since they were a kid.
imagine beating lady gaga in a talent show in stupid work “ice breakers”
Did anyone else catch the fart at the 3rd second in
One needs to remember. This was the peak time of Christina Aguilera. And tbh, she sounds much more like Aguilera here than her since-found voice/sound. If they were looking for something more unique, I kinda can understand why despite her sounding awesome here, they might have thought this sounded too much like Aguilera.
