A video essay on why I didn’t like Breath of the Wild. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I hope you enjoy it regardless.

Who the hell wants to watch your shitty video about why you don’t like a game?
Cool story bro
I couldn’t imagine there’s a large audience of people who want to watch your video on your personal take on breath of the wild.
Like, who cares?
Nobody cares. Nobody asked. Take your edge lord opinions to somewhere people actually give a shit.
I’ve never encountered a game that causes people who dislike it to spend so much time with it. Like, every day there’s a long essay about how someone doesn’t like this game in particular. It’s okay not to like popular games. Not every game is for everyone, so you don’t need to justify your dislike.
We really need to stop treating everything we don’t like as it being *awful* and everything we do like as being *the greatest thing ever*.

You deserve major props for coming to a sub like this with an opinion like that and being prepared for what you are undoubtedly going to receive.
Sounds like a big ol YOU problem.
Bold of you to assume anyone cares
which is worse? nintendo fanboys or sony fanboys?
so you want a game with a map full of icons that take away the joy of exploring and discovering new things? luckily for you, ubisoft games exist. however half of the things you described can be fixed with dlc or amiibo items (you can buy nfc tokens for very little money)
He is spot on. I consider Breath of the Wild a great timer waster. I think its more of a life style than a game and there are many who like that. But not me. You can sink dozens of hours into this without hardly progressing. I still pick it up occasionally though as it looks nice (Wii U), but I will never ever come close to finishing it.
I’d say in response to all the comments who wants to watch 100 videos of a Zelda circle jerk on why it’s the best Zelda or possibly the best game ever. There’s nothing wrong with negative opinions balancing things out. I didn’t watch this video and already know I agree with it. I wish Zelda never went open world, I do have the same opinions on not liking breaking weapons and the underwhelming music. However, my biggest gripe is THE reason I hate RPGs. Grinding for gear. It is imho the most annoying, tedious and frustrating mechanic a game can have. Go find 5 ultra rare insects that only come out at certain times of day if you’re lucky enough to figure out where they actually are so you can upgrade your armor. Collect all these ingredients to make dishes with status effects (another rpg mechanic I’m not a fan of), and for the very OCD (ME), go collect 300 seeds to be rewarded with a poop emoji. So go and downvote this all you want, but this is not in my top 5 Zelda games.
And who are you? Why would we care?
I love BotW. But not everyone is going to agree.
Hell, one of the most annoying things about Nintendo fans is how insufferable they are over how supposedly untouchable by criticism Mario and Zelda games are.
This man put so much effort
So much blood sweat and tears into a video
A video noone in the world asked for or wants
Holy crap this was terrible…. this isn’t even about your opinion, this is you just being wrong. I couldn’t even get past your first false point about horses. Also fun fact, prefacing this as an opinion doesn’t mean you get to make false statements.
“Unlocking horses, You find out you can already go there, and yet it’s an empty piece of land with no incentive to go to”
– BRUH it’s literally on the main road to Kakariko Village after passing the duelling peaks, which is one of the biggest landmarks in the game. Plus the fact is the game literally tells you to go in that direction from the start. The king literally points to the twin peaks during the cutscene on tutorial plateau and says GO THERE, FOLLOW THE ROAD….TWICE even!!!. It’s not even an empty piece of land, there’s a stable there (which has Beedle, side-quests, supplies, people with information, horse registration, traders, etc), as well as a shrine. horses are not even unlocked…. there is zero requirements for finding and attempting to tame them.
also no, you can look up a map of horse spawns and see there several areas to find horses, saying you would NEVER find them in a playthrough without googling it is just wrong.
Like much Nintendo hits, I just dislike the fact that they’re not on PC and that I have to wait for emulation to play their games, but I understand why they make console exclusivities and it’s pretty logical as commercially I don’t think Nintendo would survive if they do multiplatform games.
Looking at the comments, feels like you triggered a cult lmai
