This picture is a part of a series I am composing of the May Day protests of 2023 in Denver, CO. 22 Unions gathered to give speeches and share their experiences on the steps of the Colorado State Capitol.
I am a worker with SBWU, I was unjustly fired because I organized the store. I have testified my experience before a federal Administrative Law Judge and am currently awaiting judgment on my case. I organized my Starbucks and was fired to stop our fight for safe working conditions and adequate compensation.
We all have stories of fighting for equality and justice, these images capture the passion of that fight as we took to the street to demand a contract for Denver Public Library workers
