Good for Australian Katie! I’m always glad to see someone sticking to their principles and finally getting the protections from the law that they are entitled to.
It’s become pretty obvious over the course of Katy Perry’s time in the spotlight that she is not a nice person and so entitled she’s lost touch with the real world.
In my hometown Stephenville, Newfoundland Canada, we have a local pizza spot called “ Domino Pizza house” that was trademarked in 1963 that was later sued by the “Domino’s Pizza” but was later dropped since the Newfoundland company had the receipts to prove they were there first

To be honest, if Katie (Perry) Taylor started her business at a point in time when Katy Perry was already famous, and I was judging the trademark dispute in court, I would have sided with the singer.
If she started to use the name before, then, the right thing happened here.
