Four years later I am still so frustrated the general game design outside of open world stuff is so archaic that replaying it is just that, replaying the exact same thing exactly the only way that is allowed by big brother rockstar. It was so close to being perfect for me
It is gorgeous i agree although no game gave me the same shock as when crysis came out. Maybe ive been conditioned to some degree or there have not been big advancements in past few years (with exception of ray tracing)
Oh boy, this post for 9th time this week. Any game with a sunset is not the best looking game out there. Christ
Edit: looking more, this is literally the most average graphics I can imagine. So, so painfully average
Meanwhile, Rockstar: We don’t need any more of that. Let’s just outsource some remastering and focus on selling in-game currency. This is a successful strategy.
Nah Horizon Forbidden West definitely has this game beat by a pretty large margin in my opinion. Plus HFW runs at a silky smooth 60 fps, panning the camera through the world is a thing of beauty
When you replay you have to pick the exact spot in the story to stop progressing so Arthur is happy.
I tend to go for the creek when you play sheriff.
This is the part where I hurt you.
– “You’re too smart for me, sister! I guess I-…*I’m afraid.*”
– “Get the hell out of here and be a *goddamn man!*”
– “I gave you all I had”
The best game to play once, and only once.

False.
It was ahead of its time. A modern game from 2018 ahead of its time
It’s an amazing game, absolutely. It’s definitely not the most gorgeous game on the market.
It wasn’t even the best looking game when it came out, never mind 5 years later
No.
Hmm idk man
Absolutely a beautiful well done game. Enjoyed it thoroughly!

Wish they would put out a next-gen update for higher frames/faster loading.
Has it really only been 5 years?
I feel like RdR2 has been out for almost 10.
You should play Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
It’s beautiful. I think I prefer the landscapes of Ghosts of Tsushima though. They’re less photo-real but I think they have more character.

It needs a next gen update.
I think this was the best optimized game of all time, because it still had great graphics on base ps4.
I think it’s in the top 5, I find myself more enamored by ghost of tsushima and cyberpunk 2077
Feel like this game has been out for 10 years. Feels weird it’s only been 5.
Ghost of Tsushima disagrees
Horizon: Forbidden West disagrees.
Horizon Forbidden West is by far the most beautiful game I’ve ever seen. Having said that, RDR2 is the better game.

RDR2 is a milestone, it was way ahead of it’s time, just imagine this game launching next year, no one will flinch to call it best of the best
I doubt that we will see any game to suppress this one in detail, well until GTA 6 which hopefully will deliver at least as much as RDR2 does.
Rockstar know how to draw you in. Just a shame all Rockstar games have little to no replayability outside of the online parts.
Horizon forbidden west has better graphics, but RDR2 is still a better game
It still needs a 60FPS patch for current Gen. Would love to play it again, but 30Fps is a huge no no.
It is and remains the supreme achievement in game design and execution.
