I adore Lori Petty but there was no way she coulda done the role as well as Sandra did. For one her personality was entirely wrong for it and two she wasn’t the classical bombshell Sandra was. If it had been written as more of a smartass cyberpunk then she coulda done it really well but she just wasn’t the right type for it. She was not only there to be the bombshell love intrest but she had to be quirky and funny and Sandra did both much better.
By recasting it they saved the movie honestly. Her and Sly had that incredible chemistry together that woulda been nuclear to replace otherwise.
the hunka chunka lmao. anyone else remember that? Sylvester Stallone, giving all the different like euphemisms and nicknames for sex and one of them is the hunka chunka.

Demolition Man still holds up as an immensely enjoyable movie. Sandra is fun in it, but Wesley Snipes just steals the movie.
Caught it fully uncut for the first time when they popped it on HBOMax. Some of the jokes they don’t show on the tv version are absolutely hilarious.
