I have it on PS2 and I love that game. I played the original on my friend’s PSP and then when meltdown came out for PS2 I picked it up
Eponymous British developer Archer Maclean created the first game, but had no influence on later projects. In these games, you control a little blob of mercury on a level that you can tilt to move the mercury around. The mercury can split up into multiple blobs on sharp corners, change colors and bounce between hot and cold temperatures. The end goal of every level is to get as much of your mercury to the finish pad as possible, but there are many obstacles and puzzles you must solve first to do so.
Archer acquired a small amount of pure mercury from barometry equipment, for the purpose of studying it and getting the in-game physics exactly right. And the physics are superb, going all the way back the PSP original. I felt the Wii version was always one of the best ones, purely for it’s use of motion control, one of the few games I feel is made better with motion controls.
It should also be known Mercury Hg, the most recent game in the series, has been delisted from all online stores, and seeing as how it was only distributed digitally, is no longer available anywhere.
I had this on PSP and it was incredibly fun
Ignition went defunct and appers to now be owned by walt Disney india
So probably never see a new game in this series sadly as they are probably not interested in this series so I guess someone needs to make a spiritual successor the company sells the rights to someone who’s willing to make a sequel
So yeah not gonna happen:(
You unlocked a memory I didnt know I have
Wow. I put a fair amount of time into Mercury HG on PS3.
