Today was the first time I’ve seen this photograph, I guess my mom just recently uncovered it and while it was in its original photo holder from Dodger Stadium, there were no dates or anything else available. Dad never mentioned this to any of us, and sadly passed away 11 years ago.
I’m gonna be doing some research and reaching out to the Dodger’s archives to see if I can’t find out more about it, but I thought it was a really neat photo. He was a cool dude! Really did a lot for his community in California back in the day, though it was long before I was born and I wish I’d thought to ask him more about his achievements when I was younger before he passed.
Also, this is a throwaway account. But if anyone has any ideas or resources on how I can learn more about this picture, let me know!
